Moving data onto a new SD card

I bought a bigger SD card and now I am wondering, how would transfering the data work.
My data is on sysmmc. Most of my homebrew apps and games are on the SD card.

So can I just copy and paste the data onto the new SD card after formating it?

If you don't have a partition based emummc you can just copy all files to the new card. Remember to format it as fat32
