Softreset works fine for me without doing any fancy formatting steps.
Same here. First thing I did was go to the ROM settings and turn soft reset and cheats off and set the save size to 2M.
Juniors been playing it all day without a problem.

When I was testing, I had soft reset and cheats on ("default" which is on) and auto save size (512k) and it worked fine.
I padded my save to 2MB and set the game to 2MB save, and it still works without problem.
Soft reset is working for me as well.

AK2i HWID 81 with AKAIO 1.7.1, 4GB Class 6 ADATA from Korea (bought at Newegg.com)

Ah yeah, forgot about that... well, whatever.
The soft reset problem I mentioned is that one in which when you try to soft reset to AK's menu, all configurations end up going back to default and you can't save them anymore - the fix involves using GParted to fix the partition size of the SD card. Not everyone had this problem, though, but it was still rather popular.

My SDHC which doesn't run the game is from Taiwan, by the way.

I remember that problem... I think it happened to me once, but formatting my MicroSDHC with the Panasonic SD formatter fixed it and I've been problem free since.

Is this the same card that had the soft reset problems?
If so, you might want to consider buying a new MicroSDHC card.

Yes, it's the same card.
I'll look into it, although I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a truly good one due to where I live. Still, I believe I have an idea of where to find some good options.

Hey just wondering how do you even input this action replay code "02233E2C 03E70032" to my Acekard 2?

Thanks.

Edit: I forgot to mention the Acekard 2 part.

UPDATE: Got a video of me using both microsd card: " Kingston 4GB and Adata 1GB"
Still doesn't boot. Strangely to note, Professor Layton also fails to boot while everyone else is doing ok. (It SHOULDNT be AP, it is)
*sigh* I might as well as play Platinum until a firmware update.

I seriously have no idea to compress that thing into a rar. Sorry guys.

To compress anything, you need a compression tool.
For programs and apps, that's usually something like 7zip or WinRAR.
For video, you'd use a compression codec like XviD.

Youtube should also work to compress the video, and it makes it a hell of a lot easier to watch.
People don't want to download an uncompressed video (that could be 1/10th the size) just to watch someones problem.

Also... don't use bullshit excuses like:QUOTE(AoiAoiAoi @ Sep 18 2010, 10:56 AM) Sorry about the big size. Using linux and didn't have compressing tool.

when the answer to your problem is a 5 second search away.

The write speed of the card is more effected by the quality of the cards controller and has very little to do with the class.

So do you have a recommended brand? I would like to know what to buy. I want at least a 4GB, one that will load the games without hiccups, but above all: one that won't take 8-10 seconds to write/save a game. Brand name/Class (even though you say it's not important to the writing speed)
If a was in the UK I would always buy:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Micro-Spee...4853&sr=8-2

If I am in the US I would probably go for one of these:
http://www.amazon.com/DATA-microSDHC-Memor...K/ref=pd_cp_e_1
http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Class-micr...8/ref=pd_cp_e_3

Edit: I have only used the Samsung card and it has been great. I'm recommending the US cards based on research only not personal experience.

Is this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013DXVY...=UTF8&psc=1 is as reliable as the 8GB version? I'm not willing to spend around $21.64 (plus shipping) for this thing.

Alright, I got a link for my probelm concerning my "Dec 09" Acekard

Yeah, I finally got that compressed.

So the 1GB ADATA MicroSD works, and the 4GB Kingston MicroSDHC doesnt?

Until someone can prove otherwise, I have to say Pokemon Black/white doesn't load on slower MicroSDHCs (especially Kingstons).
Also, that's an epic "Annnnnndddd..."

Sorry, I mean to say both didn't work on the vid.
I find this very strange why it can't even properly boot.

My English is really shitty.

There's no way for Normmatt to fix this issue with an AKAIO update right? Its basically up to the users I believe. I'm still stuck at the infamous black screen. I specifically have an 8GB Polaroid Class 4 Model: P-SDU8GB4-FS; Made in Taiwan.

for me, only 2gb works (iflash and kinghston)
my 4gb iflash and 8gb kingston do not worket... It freezes after loading a game or after creating a new game...

Ah ok...

Well, I went back and found your post here.
It makes sense that the 'bad batch' could have lingering issues, but that's rather hard to fix yourself, so hopefully it's something else.
What format do you have your cards in? FAT/16 or FAT32?
Try formatting the card to the other standard (i.e. if you had FAT16 set it to FAT32).

Yeah, I've formatted to FAT16 and FAT32 a few times. Rewrote the partition table too (still msdos, the standard). It did help me obtain use of soft-reset again.
I can only hope a update will fix it.

If it helps, my ADATA card is brand-new from the mail and my Sandisk is 6 months old.
..Great, I have degraded myself to the noobs just begging for an update

My Kingston 4GB SDHC card from Taiwan doesn't load past the professor's speech, but my Kingston 2GB SD card from Japan does load past the professor's speech. Both were bought at Fry's Electronics here in Vegas.

My Kingston 4 GB SDHC from Japan (C04G JAPAN) Class 4 runs it perfectly.

Do you guys have another flashcart to test it on? Sometimes it's due to the flashcart as well (I'm using Acekard), so put it in a R4 if you own one and test to see if it works.
