I've just got my R4, have copied the software files to it from the disc it came with (_system_, dat, & moonshell files).

I've created a folder called "NDS Games" and dragged-and-dropped 2 .nds files from my PC into it.

When I put the cart in the DS and click the left icon it shows the folder "NDS Games" but it is empty. Putting the micro SD back into my PC to double-check, the .nds files are on there.

What am I doing wrong???

If you are seeing an empty folder where there are files, try pressing select. It will switch between .nds files, .sav files, .txt files, and all files. You may have accidentally switched it to Save (.sav) or eBook (.txt) mode, which will not show you .nds files.

Also, now that I think of it - double check that you're actually in the folder. Highlight it and press A, and the first two lines should be:
[/NDS Games/] 2 Games
..

And at the far right on the second line

Though, in your case, it might be 0 Games instead of 2 Games.
You might also try putting the games in the root directory.

While you're in your R4, make sure at the top of the top screen says "[/] [Number] Games". If it doesn't press select until it does.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

Just found out he's doing alright, doing a lot of complaining too, rightfully so. Who wouldn't complain after having a seizure and being hospitalized?
