I was looking into playing PS2 games on my Rebug 4.80 CFW PS3 without it being one of the models that actually supports it. I couldn't find any place online that explains it better than the GBATemp community. (The console is DEX if it matters)

You'll have to enable cobra mode in the Rebug toolbox.
Multiman should then report as mmCM and you'll be able to load in a PS2 game.
You'll have to connect the controller to the PS3 via its charging cable iirc.

Another question tho.
If it's a DEX console, why are you even using it for playing games!?
DEX consoles are useful for debugging and programming.
Their nothing but overpriced PS3s if you're looking for piracy/backup games.

Eh, it's none of me business anyway.

Just install the Rebug toolbox, enable Cobra mode and reboot it.
Multiman also has a function where you can switch from Multiman to mmCM.
It's piss easy.

PS2 ISOs go into a folder called PS2ISO on dev_hdd0.

you dont need to connect a cable (at least in my BC compatible ps3) but i think i remember there were some bitchi games that you needed to re-assign the controllers on the PS menu

you can also convert the games as playstation 2 classics (and i thought it was a requirement on non BC consoles)

Latest Rebug CFW doesn't need that.
It's toggling Cobra mode and loading them with mmCM.

The controllers I'm not entirely sure about anymore (being them connected via cable yes or no)

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)
