I get this part. Just curious how 2 different boards shared same preloader screen since they have different version as wellunlocked picofly does not rewrite the preloader (unless it's completely broken), people asked for that to be able to use sdloader from the hwfly, for example.
Update picofly fw without usb port solder back I guessSpeaking of.. what's the advantage of using the hwfly sdloader?
preloader is stored into BOOT0, it stays there until chip reset, OFW update or eMMC replacement.I get this part. Just curious how 2 different boards shared same preloader screen since they have different version as well
That's what 2.6 already does by itself.Update picofly fw without usb port solder back I guess
The temperature of the motherboard during reflow soldering is about 250°CGreat work!
I'm having the idea to try to reball the eMMC as well, didn't get the courage yet
Did you have trouble while detaching the chip from the stencil after reflowing the solder paste? And what were the temperatures used in all the steps?
Thanks!
bumpSo if we have the previous version + unlock.uf2 applied, just drag and drop v2.6 in order to update?
Thanks a lot
Any specific type of Thermal paste ?You're gonna need:
- Of course some wire, usually 0.2 enameled wire is the suggested type
- Thermal paste to replace the one you'll have to take off
- Kapton tape to keep the RP2040 in place and avoid shorts
I think you already have a soldering iron and solder
yesif at peak you already have version 2.5 the unlocking and the toshiba one to update I just have to drag version 2.6?
after flashing with 2.6 with 2.5+unlock already flashed before rp2040 zero didn't flash the led in any way. Is that normal?
no. wait for the fixed version, or bridge RGB jumper (and use it with inversed colours)after flashing with 2.6 with 2.5+unlock already flashed before rp2040 zero didn't flash the led in any way. Is that normal?
was it working before 2.6? if not, boot Full Stock and apply official update.on a quarrel with volume plus and minus ofw does not part @rehius

i'll just wait for the fixed version then, I'm still waiting for my soldering iron so no soldering for a couple of days for me anyway. Thanks for the good work you are putting inno. wait for the fixed version, or bridge RGB jumper (and use it with inversed colours)

Cool, will have a browse, 15 more pages have appeared since I've been on here. Thanks, once you said you 'didn't have any internal pics' though, I 'just did it'. Nearly exactly the same way as you describe here, I just went too far w\ an alternative idea because I didn't double check what you did. I'll upload pics of my mad project(s) soon.
