In an exploitable FW, run the devmenu or something similar and install the legit cia.
Then you may upgrade to latest FW and run the legit cia.

I know that OP has MH4U and that this is likely a legit CIA, but they mentioned two other CIAs as well. I was interested in what those games were, too.

Either way, yeah, it's likely just a legit CIA

Fire Emblem doesn't work because I need to open the gift again, however, I know it's still there, and the icon was there. That's how it was before How to activate the gift, that is the question.

The other game is SM3D Land, my daughter's using the 3DS atm, so I'll check later if that works.
I also have the retail version of that game though but I installed the cia for testing, initially.

But if they're legit cia's, whatever that means, it doesn't really make a difference anyway.

Oh yeah, I think I get it now, they may work in 9.7 but you can't install them.
