I need some pointers guys! I've tried two different SD cards but they fail at initializing the save data, verified by using the loadiine server.

I launched duck tales - loads fine - but when it goes to write the save data I get a Wii U error. Same applies to any other games I've tried.

Today I have some free time so I tried launching normally - failed. I then went into settings, deleted any smash save data, launched the kexploit/loadiine again, launched the game and still failed.

Am I missing something?

did you make the _sav/*RPXNAME*/u and _sav/*RPXNAME*/c folders on the root of your SD card?

this is baffling, i don't understand how everyone else is working just fine and I'm the only one reporting this issue! i really can't figure out why i'm getting this error.

I modified cafiine a while ago to create dummy files while it loads them. It's definitly faster than creating the dump requests from the log...

I am not at my PC, so if you want to take a look at it just search for "cafiine bitbucket n1ghty" here. Should be in this monster thread :P

Well I found my issue...SD card is deemed write protected but it's not. Think this Wii u might have faulty SD card reader. Funny enough my other Wii u had that issue too in Wii mode actually had to send it back to ninty.

I wanted to thank everyone for this thread and software, I finally got it up and working! :D

For anyone curious or wondering, you do NOT need the DISC of SSBB. It DOES work with the eshop version of SSBB I just tested it. Don't know if it's already been mentioned here already, but the readme is a bit unclear since it specifically states Super Smash Bros. (Disc). (USA Wii U)

Note that some games behave differently with the eShop version; so far Wii Sports Club has been the only one mentioned, it acts like the eShop version and the games within it are unplayable.

My sd card has a little plastic switch on it that locks it. could that be the issue?

I do appreciate any and all help, but I'm not a n00b lol. I've checked that. The card writes just fine in my PC, the plastic tab is up (lock is down), I also tried 2 different SD cards to rule out any potential issues with the SD card.

Odds are very slim the plastic tab was locked on BOTH.

I'm checking how it works on my other 5.5 WiiU, if that says its locked something else is wrong.

@VashTS I'm sorry to hear that! Terrible luck! Sounds like a hardware issue possibly, on your 5.3.2 wii.

I had an issue at first with saves not working but it worked after I found I had renamed the save folder properly, which I know you already have.

Would this work on firmware 5.2.0? Has anything changed with the browser exploit between that and 5.3.2? I didn't want to ask, but I see mostly people asking about later firmware than 5.3.2 and not firmware prior.

I'd imagine some more recent games would require the firmware update, but does loadiine completely block the update portion of the disc image? Someone mentioned I can get something like Mario kart 8 that has the update, but I want to make sure that buying a disk only for the update can at least be avoided until I have games that really need it.

noob question here, im UK based with a UK wiiu. is any of this gonna work for me? as I read you need smash bro USA. of course im gonna need to check my FW tonight, but ive kept it off the net since I updated to get game pads working in Mario kart 8, that was around December-January 2014.

yes it's looking good for you. loadliine works on any region, only requirement is having firmware 5.3.2.
you'll probably need a game which has update to 5.3.2 on disc. (check this thread: http://gbatemp.net/threads/wiiu-list-of-system-updates-on-disc.372041/)
