I started a few weeks ago with v1.83 and it worked fine, managed to get a few bigger game files, then it started giving me this message (pic 1), even with smaller games.

I tried all other download option- same. Tried connecting an ether cable to router- same. Deleted that version and put v1.84 on - same. (I have HBL DEBUG version, following some YT tutorial and I'm in EU)

Before it stops, it starts giving me this warning (pic 2) but it recovers a little bit and continues loading until it stops.

Please help!

Thanks, Blauhasenpopo, so do I just need to grab all these 1.9 files and put them where 1.84 was?

As my Wii U isn't in in duty since 6 monzh...i couldn't really tell you, but make a backup of your files and copy the new ones over and try....there is nothing to loose, afaik :)

@Blauhasenpopo This is about the Wii U, not the Wii. Wii U CDN isn't offline.

@noodles1012 Are you using a DNS update blocker? Cause that blocks the URL ccs.cdn.wup.shop.nintendo.net - Also are you able to ping that host from your PC?
I'm not sure what DNS update blocker is, but I have no such app. In my Wii U settings, automatic Software Downloads were set to 'don't receive' , I changed to 'receive'. In my Internet setting DNS is set to 'auto-obtain'.

Sorry, dunno what 'ping that host from your PC means'.

I tested, it's still not doing it.

Try the LAN adapter again but this time switch to wired connection at the network settings, too, as the adapter isn't plug & play.

Yes I did. I've now taken out the SD card & HDD and resetting the console. Maybe something got stuck in the NAND that's disturbing the process.

I've tried everything now, reset the console, took everything off the SD and only put the most necessary back on. Had to reformat the HDD, so the few games I've had are lost.

Could it be that the Nintendo online shop found me out and blocked my User ID?

Downloads always just work for a couple of minutes then the same message pops up.

I have the same issues! Can you please help me if you find an answer to this problem?

I've changed internet provider since and it's gotten much better.
What is really causing the problem is Google's DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), which is the default for most providers. You can resolve this yourself by installing a DNS service such as FamilyShield from OpenDns. To do this, just access the management of the router settings and disable automatic DNS, then put the following values in the primary and secondary DNS: "208.67.220.123" and "208.67.222.123".
