Ok, so, if I were to use Letterbomb, and NOT bundle the Hackmii installer, is there anyway to use USB Loader GX like a Hackless way? Just wanted to know.

Hello Guys,

I have a modded wii using letterbomb mainly so i can play 20xx smash. I originally had it on nintendont but the charachters kept on shielding when i wasn't clicking shield (IT WASN'T A IN-GAME TOGGLE). So after that i switched to dios mios and it worked just fine. But after reading several threads about how dios mios is outdated i decided i wanted to try to switch back to nintendont. So after i did the process i put the sd card in the wii loaded it up and nothing was on the homebrew browser even though it identified the sd card.So my questions are 1.how do i switch from dios mios to nintendont and vice versa 2. How do i make it so that it shows the apps on the homebrew browser

P.S here is a picture of the root of my sd card should i add the ios's from when i had dios mios or not?

UPDATE:I GOT NINTENDONT TO WORK BUT IT STILL HOLDS DOWN SHIELD

Gusy, I recently made a softmod on my girlsfriend wii. And test to play GC and WII isos and it run smooth, but I only made this part of the process https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/hacking-guide/4-3-guide. But in the same website, they teach about a IOS modification and in this another tutorial from gbatemp too https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...backup-wii-gamecube-and-wiiware-games.360687/

. So my question: Is there any problem to use the usbloadergx and nintendont without the cios( custom ios), or other process involving a pack of wad installed with wiimod? Because there's so many tutorial on the internet that I get confused which one is the best.

Is it possible to replace sounds and audio in .wad files or ROMs? What kind of editor would I need? Is it a drag and drop process or more detailed than that?

You need to use IOS mods for Usbloader GX to run wii backups. Nintendont will work without cIOS hacks, but i don't think wii back ups will (correct me if i'm wrong) Make sure you're using cIOS for Wii U and IOS for Wii, using the wrong one will brick your system. Read each and every single guide before doing IOS mods, it's simple to do, but just as simple to mess up.

The guides will tell you what you need to do, as well as where to get your files.

Howdy-hey, everybody! I just got my own Wii the other day, and have been learning how to mod them. I've gotten the Homebrew Channel installed via Letterbomb with system menu 4.3U, and I'm currently trying to learn how to install WAD files.

I'm currently trying to use YAWMM to do this, but I keep getting Error -1029 upon trying to install any WAD, injected or otherwise. I followed the steps here using IOS249 as a base, and used the method here to install a cIOS using the d2x CIOS installer and beta52. This allowed me to view the WADs I placed on my SD card, but after that, YAWMM throws the 1029 error.

Upon further research, I heard that you could use IOS236 as a base, but I don't appear to have it installed. It probably wouldn't hurt to have it installed anyway, but just to be sure: is there a way I can get IOS249 to install WADs, or just install ios236 and do it from there?

Also, as long as I'm asking newbie questions: upon installing Homebrew, I immediately backed up the NAND and such using HackMii. In the event that my Wii gets bricked, how would I go about restoring it with the NAND? I assume I'll need some sort of restoration program or file loader, but that's all I can think of.

There are a few Wii games that have revisions to them. I want to edit my scrubbed Wii ISO to give it a different CODE when CFG USB Loader lists the titles. I want to do this so I can make custom covers that indicate the version # along with text that notes the revision. Is it just as simple as using a HEX editor to find/change the code to one not in use? If not is there a program I can use that will do this for me?

Hi, I picked up a Wii today that had USB Loader GX installed, as well as a HD that was formatted to .wbfs. Wii games I have tried seem to work ok as do GC games.

Wiiware/Virtual Console games just boot to a black screen - all that I have tried except for 1080 which actually works.

I ran syscheck and this is what it says:

Code:
sysCheck v2.1.0 HD Edition by Double_A and R2-D2199
...runs on IOS58 (rev 6176).

Region: PAL
System Menu 4.3E (v514)

Homebrew Channel 1.1.2 running on IOS58

Hello! first time hacking the wii and I needed to know if I can play my wii/gamecube isos off of my 32gb sandisk cruzer glide? I know you can with an SD card but what about USB sticks what about saving?? also I'd like to know is every gamecube game playable with no freezing or bad glitches? Because I jail broke my ps3 and wanted to play some of my ps2 isos and some wouldn't boot or get all messed up which is why I ask.

Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
