well you can call it upscale if you want but the wiiu doesnt change resolution or make any games sharper.

"making games sharper" is not up scaling.
It's not that I can call it that, that IS what the system is doing.
Unless you set it to output in 480p which in turn would make your display the upscaler.
There HAS to be an upscaling somewhere otherwise you would see a tiny recatangle in the middle of your screen. (you wanna see something "unscaled"?) Set your Wii U to output 480 and your TV to 1:1, just scan or however its named on your set. That would be UNSCALED.

I cant see any diference from using a wii with progressive and a wii game on wiiu.

Since the update running a game from USBLGX now causes the bios screen to lag sometimes (most of the times, actually) I went back to 3.319 and it seems to run fine, anyone can confirm?

Google Code shutting down
http://google-opensource.blogspot.ie/2015/03/farewell-to-google-code.html

Earlier today, Google announced we will be turning down Google Code Project Hosting. The service started in 2006 with the goal of providing a scalable and reliable way of hosting open source projects. Since that time, millions of people have contributed to open source projects hosted on the site.

But a lot has changed since 2006. In the past nine years, many other options for hosting open source projects have popped up, along with vibrant communities of developers. It’s time to recognize that Google Code’s mission to provide open source projects a home has been accomplished by others, such as GitHub and Bitbucket.

We will be shutting down Google Code over the coming months. Starting today, the site will no longer accept new projects, but will remain functionally unchanged until August 2015. After that, project data will be read-only. Early next year, the site will shut down, but project data will be available for download in an archive format.

As the owner of the following projects, you have several options for migrating your data.

...

The simplest option would be to use the Google Code Exporter, a new tool that will allow you to export your projects directly to GitHub. Alternatively, we have documentation on how to migrate to other services — GitHub, Bitbucket, and SourceForge — manually.

For more information, please see the Google Open Source blog or contact [email protected].

-The Google Code team

thanks for the heads up! Maxternal we're going to need to get trinux over to bitbucket or github before the deadline. I can take care of that, in my spare time, if you're too busy, just keep me posted.

Back on topic, FIX94 is doing an amazing job with Nintendont! However I agree with what others are saying here, people need to be re-testing games with the latest revisions and report back to get the most accurate compatibility list ever. The more feedback Fix gets the better off this will be! Once I find my copy of brawl (gotta clean my room XD) and I softmod the vWii on my shiny new Wii U, I'll jump in the action too :P.

Don't you mean Melee?
Anyway, while I totally agree on this one, I'm not sure I'm welcome to take partthis, I don't want to be called "demanding" again, but if I notice any broken games during my play through I'll report.

I just set this up and I have a minor problem where the playtimes and save times listed are completely inaccurate on the virtual memory card. New saves show the proper date and playtime, but it just kind of bothers me that my old ones are messed up. I was wondering if there was a fix for this? I've tried both saves I made with dolphin and just saves from my old GameCube memory card (still moved over with Dolphin's memory card management, not sure of any other way to do it.) Not a big issue of course but just an annoying little glitch I'd like to get rid of.

Please do report broken games. I didn't see anything particularly wrong with what you were doing earlier, but from what I could tell other users were getting annoyed that you were a) reporting beta versions of games and b) reporting the same things over and over again. My suggestion is if you find a bug, report it and assume Fix will get to it in time. If it doesn't get fixed in a matter of weeks, report again, but don't do it within the same week

So... wait, what's the issue?

If you're referring to e.g. the description that shows up in the memory card manager: That's part of the save data itself, not the directory entry, and there's no reason why anything should have changed it. Can you show an example of the inaccurate playtime?

preety sure he means the dates since most memory cards show the wrong date or no date at all but its not like that affects anything at all...

For file timestamps on the FAT filesystem, it isn't too difficult. The FatFS code used by the Nintendont kernel has all the hooks for timestamps; it just needs to be enabled. (Not sure if libcustomfat for the loader also needs adjustment.)

Relevant libogc code for getting the system time: https://github.com/comex/libogc/blob/92d67b6ee398f3fe92a89cd5ff5fcdf362447929/libogc/timesupp.c#L126
Relevant FatFS config option: https://code.google.com/p/nintendon-t/source/browse/trunk/kernel/ffconf.h#206

libogc does have a localtime() function to break down the Unix timestamp into month/day/year/etc, but I can't seem to find the source for it. Probably not looking in the right place.

Basically, a get_fattime() function needs to be written that converts the Wii timestamp to a FAT timestamp so the FatFS code knows what time it is.

Code:
DWORD get_fattime(void)
{
	// Example values; these should be replaced with
	// the actual system time using libogc functions.
	const uint8_t year = 2015;
	const uint8_t month = 3;
	const uint8_t day = 12;

	const uint8_t hours = 15;
	const uint8_t minutes = 45;
	const uint8_t seconds = 34;

	// Fields:
	// Bits 31-25: Year, minus 1980.
	// Bits 24-21: Month
	// Bits 20-16: Day
	// Bits 15-11: Hours
	// Bits 10-5:  Minutes
	// Bits 4-0:   Seconds, divided by 2.
	return (((DWORD)year - 1980) << 25) |
	       ( (DWORD)month << 21) |
	       ( (DWORD)day << 16) |
	       ( (DWORD)hours << 11) |
	       ( (DWORD)minutes << 5) |
	       ( (DWORD)seconds / 2);
}

yeah turok is broken either freezes when loading to the main menu or freezes when loading the mission on 323 seems every loading screen is very easy to get a crash

i went down alot and the last time i could get ingame was 305 but even there the games seems to struglle to get pass the loading screens like its about to crash and can crash.

Cool, thanks for checking it out. And thanks to sideskroll as well. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't somehow on my end only.

For example, a save of Twilight Princess I have loads in Dolphin saying 37 hours of playtime, while the same save in Nintendont will claim 25 hours of playtime. The date also changed from 2015 to 2010. Both issues are minor, but it's just annoying for the wrong playtimes to show up. Seems it's rather complicated to make it work, so no problem. Thanks for looking into it.

Are you certain your Wii's time is set correctly? It often resets after a forced shutdown.

But I didn't demand anything, I tested EVERY SINGLE GAME in my list at the time and reported every game that didn't work, with every update I did the same, I only wanted to help out but instead I was accused of "demanding a fix" which I wasn't, I admit I had my doubts when Sonic Riders took forever to get fixed, I thought maybe Fix94 just didn't wanna fix it to spite me, though I was wrong on that part, but overall I didn't demand anything and I don't hold grudges to anyone, I'm a sensitive person though and words can hurt.

Well I did report a game a while ago that doesn't work unless EmuMC was enabled and it seems to have passed by without anyone caring, I know real MC is minor priority here, especially for a Japanese game, but a bug is a bug and the game gives a black screen if EmuMC was disabled.

Anyway, I think the recent update last night for the cheats made the bios screen lag sometimes when loading from USBLGX, though loading the game from the loader seems to get it running fine, but it could be pure luck, anyway from my testing at least 75% of the time when I run a game from USBLGX I get the lag on the bios screen, it's not a major bug but it's there.

I have to say that by FIX94 loading the loader and kernel together has made Nintendont load the game much faster than before. It's amazing to think that Nintendont was merely a concept to prove that the Wii U could easily run GameCube games and Nintendo is being lazy. The funny part was the game being played was being played with a PS3 controller through USB.

Fast forward many months and look at what we now have all thanks to the tireless efforts of the developers here.

Also, it looks like Nintendo is re-releasing the GameCube Adapter by itself according to a GameStop pre-order page for the same $20 as before. Maybe this time the company making the adapters will not underestimate the demand like they did before.

More than 10 years later and the GameCube is still kicking strong.

You should report only changes,

i.e
1) if a game that was working before:
  a new revision breaks it - report it

2) if a game that was not working before:
  a new revision fixed it and the change log does not mention any thing - you may report it
  a new revision fixed it and the change log does say it should be fixed - you may confirm it
  a new revision says it should be be fix but actually not - report it
  a new revision does not fix it and there is nothing in the change log for it - don't report it unless you think its being forgotten after a long time and many new revisions.

if a game works, would you repeatedly say it works for every new revision?
if you made a report, the dev would most likely have noted it and if you got a few other confirmations, you should reflect that in the compatibility list which should be the devs best reference had it not been messed up by ignorant users.

got it?
