Heya,

I am thinking of buying one of those Nintendo WiFi dongles so I can play games over the net. Before I do though, does anyone know what the access range is for one of those dongles? ie. How far away can I be from the dongle before it cuts? The reason is, my room is at the back of my house and my study (computer) is at the front and I don't want to buy it and find out the access point won't reach my room.

Cheers!

you could always buy a 5m usb extension cable and plug the dongle into it, that should give you the extra range you need

It'd be great if Nintendo could just update the DS Lite to enable WPA security. Then we wouldn't need this.

Alright, since no one knew the answer.. I decided to go out and buy one.

I tested it, the range is around 10metres.. not far at all.

=(

the nintendo wi-fi usb connector will give u about 15 feet. not very far at all, i kno, but a linksys 7320, a 50 dollar wireless router will give u a much better wi-fi experience and ranges through walls and cielings, up to 35 feet. for 15-16 more dollars, it's worth it.
