Super Mario 3D Land is the first Nintendo 3DS game to sell over five million copies.

To be exact, the wonderful platformer has shifted 5.03 million copies globally since launch.

It's easily the best-selling 3DS game. Mario Kart 7, in second place, has shifted 4.54 million units around the world.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D has sold 2.49 million copies worldwide.

The 3DS games have some way to go before emulating the best-selling DS games, however.

New Super Mario Bros., for example, has sold an eye-watering 28.74 million copies in its lifetime. Mario Kart DS has sold 22.3 million units.

Meanwhile, Nintendo revealed Wii game The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has sold 3.42 million copies globally.

We can say the 3DS isn't doomed anymore, now it's time for the Vita to launch impressive software, you can do it Sony!

Well, considering that Zelda OoT sold ~7 million copies in its N64 lifetime, the 3DS sales aren't that bad.
I knew they should have added more to the remake. It's was a lazy remake, which disappointed me.
Not lazy, just pure (my least favorite type, you might as well call them ports for all that's added...though, to be fair, even if they don't add much, if anything, they still "remade" it from scratch). That said, one could argue that in various cases pure remakes are lazy.

A lazy remake? You mean the developer's project to rebuild the entire game from the ground up had quality issues? Did it have problems the original didn't?

By "lazy" I'm pretty sure he means "pure". Some people tend to interchange the two.

To insert my opinion on remakes... yeah if you're going through the trouble of remaking a game and it afford you the ability to change so many things, it'd be nice to add stuff, 'ya know?

Yeah players bitch about changed/removed things, but added things (like new side quests or even minigames like with the ToP port) tend to please all-around.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
