You mean like the one Colours had that actually improved the game?

I wasn't looking forward to this version but I like the footage of this plus you can use Modern Sonic's moves in Classic Sonic levels...not sure if you can do that with the other versions. Either way looks like devs have finally seem what people do actually want and don't want and have taken the best parts from Classic & Modern. Shame they couldn't put this to the Wii though.

You can't. Classic Sonic only has jump and spin dash, you can't use any of Modern Sonic's moves. This is a Modern Sonic level (Act 2 = Modern).

Sidenote: On the 3DS version, you don't have the single-button-spin-dash that the console versions are sporting. It's much more in the vein of Classic Sonic.

i never felt sonic was silly in terms of its gimmicks but it seems that some ppl have started some hate and its been kept alive for all the continuing games.
this is quite good but i feel the one who is playing the game spoiled it after 2:30

Is it me or did the game loose all of it's speed? I really liked sonic for the fast packed action but this seems to play really slow.

I've played it myself on the gamescom yesterday ands I have to say it was reeally good.
The classic Sonic Levels played a lot like the old games.
The modern Sonic played like a mix between Sonic Colours (without the "wisps") and Sonic Rush.

Even got the background and foreground going for it.

I don't really see how it is, this one has a very "back to basics" feel that the Wii and 360 ones didn't have, it's goal is to mix the old and new, while completely basing it's gameplay off of the old and adding a few elements from the new.

Sonicretro will bitch about that until the cows come home, even if this is Modern Sonic's stage.

Looks like a great deal of fun though, can't wait to pick this up in November.

I agree, I love remade music, and for what is basically a modernization of fan favorites it seems expected.

What's wrong with Sonic Colors? I thought it was an alright game just not perfect.
Anyways comparing the reimagined version to the Generations version, I thought the reimaged version was a lot more better in terms of graphics.
