OP
Well,
i just bought a 3.55 PS3 and now i m super confused ....

What CFW is the best to use?
I dont care too much about piracy. Actually i have so many PS3 Games already that i could open up a store lol.

I just wanted to have the ps3 (2nd one..) to be able to use homebrew.
I just recently read that there s retroarch meanwhile (1.3.6 beta or sth)

So.. do you have any other nice homebrew that would be classified as "must have"?

I really dont have any idea anymore since i didnt care too much about the ps3 recently.

So please give me some information about:

Best CFW (+ maybe a short how to install on 3.55^^ slim i mean)

and some nice to have homebrews :)

(and is linux still a thing on p3 on 4.XX CFW?)

thanks in advance

Multiman, Rebug Toolbox, Irisman, PSninja, PSNpatch, Cobra, and SEN Enabler. All of these are must haves. You might not need Irisman though if you want to keep Multiman.

no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
i just didint know the homebrew launcher didint exist in aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
