Don't pressure yourself. Take your time, and try to put a lot of effort into it before releasing! My first homebrew was a very ugly looking calculator. It doesn't have to be useful.

Nice, so 3ds programming doesn't look that hard!

Just as long as you know some C/C++. There are plenty of examples included with devkitPro.

Having new devs in the 3DS homebrew scene is always something good.

Now, if only I could become one of those.

Just read a book about C and the examples included with devkitpro, or start with something easier such as Lua through LPP-3DS. Back in PSP days, new devs used to start with Lua (via Lua Player Euphoria, for example).

Someone should really write a guide for people who aren't already programmers.

Considering how the 3DS currently responds to segfaults and other errors (it just locks up) I wouldn't suggest 3DS as a first platform for programming.
C/++ is not the easiest language to start with, so you should really rack up some experience on PC first.

Those are called "books about programming". There's no need for this. There's plenty of documentation, examples and books about C,C++, etc.
