Alright, I have a 3.2U that I have been happy with for awhile. I want the SD card menu now though, so from what I understand the best menu for this is 4.1? This guide, and others, all seem to be for Wiis that have never been hacked.

As I said I am on 3.2U, running ciosrev14, did some sort of shop-update to make mm9 work, and have installed some IOS to make pokemon rumble work. Also- I don't know what Trucha means, but I am almost positive I did that when I originally hacked it because I went from 3.3 or 3.4 to the 3.2 it is on now.

In order to go from hacked 3.2 to 4.1, do I have to update to 4.2 first? Is there no other way? And does this undo the trucha thing so I need to redo them?

Also I did do some preloader hacks, like the one that skips the health/warning screen. Does this affect anything while updating?

use imgburn to create ISO from the disc.

you can just install whatever SM you want with DOP-IOS MOD

the dop-ios mod...mod is no longer a mod of a mod. giantpune has been added to the svn commit list and Arikado has merged with pune's source. one more bug needs to be worked out and then it will be released as Dop-IOS MOD 10.
awesome, so its almost out?
are you referring to the DOP-IOS in CSG or the note above the guide? ill assume both.

good to know giantpune is in on this offically

but technically the first release or so was a mod of a mod right?

It's almost out. I guess it's a pretty frustrating bug but it's in a feature that really isn't necessary to the app.

i believe tj_cool updated the 4.1 section of CSG to include it via offline softmod.

yes, technically, the first release was a mod of a mod. however, since pune's addition has been merged with the official source I guess that it could be considered a "revision".

Ok, Is there a possible way to play a backup with the new D3-2 chipset?
only through usb loaders

and yes, I updated the CSG 4.1 guide with the new Dop-IOS MOD, which makes the modding process a lot easier
just so everyone knows

the system menu does no matter when loading games.
cIOSCORP can be used on any system, and firmware, you obviously didnt read the readme.

i got up to the restore trucha bug part, i didnt downgrade, i hit like, option 4, Something IOS15 (im pretty sure it wasn't downgrade).. im not even sure what it said.
my wii is wokring fine, i tried to go back into TBR but the downgrade option wasn't there.
what shall i do now?

I just used this guide, preety sweet I must say

Though, just wondering (sorry if its the wrong place to ask this), but I've done all these steps, and also installed cIOSCorp 3.6 via the CSG, but now my NTSC disc games don't work

Great freaking guide! I've used this flawlessly for a few Wiis, but I've recently run into issues with a few that have the new D3-2 chipset.

I get through all the steps without any problems, but I can't seem to get USB Loader GX to load correctly. I see the loading screen, but after that all I get is a black screen. I'm doing this for a friend of mine and he brought over his SD card. Originally I loaded the files onto his card and followed the instructions (Modify 4.2 since he was on 4.2U), but there must have been a compatibility issue because no files would write from the Wii to the SD card (specifically the first step to install Bootmii).

I then tried my card and everything worked great. USB Loader GX loaded up just fine and I tested out the games I had loaded on the external and it played just fine. I couldn't give him my SD card so he decided to buy a new one. This one worked just fine (let bootmii write to the card during the first step) and all the other steps went flawlessly. However, running USB Loader GX gives me that black screen again.

Frustrating problem to say the least and I don't know where I should start to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
