#1 is totally not true but everything else is good advice. SDHC 4GB to 32GB should work fine.

fixed, just use a 2 gb SD card, i was using an 8 gb one, formated to 2 gb partition only, does not work, someone on youtube claimed it was.

I was going to post exactly this. I'm not very experienced with DSi topics yet, but try hard to improve.
Extracting the contents from wooddumper4hiya.7z to their place at SD:/title worked for me:

• new wrapped DSiWare popped up on SDNAND System Menu
• unlaunch menu also finds and can start Wooddumper

Results:

• Dumped some smaller DS games successfully – working in TWiLight Menu++
  
• Putting another cart in did not work until rebooting – reboot for each game
  
• I could not dump DSi enhanced games like Pokemon Black/White 1/2 (game carts with TWL-* instead of NTR-* printed on)

1) Your SD card must be 2 GB or smaller.
2) Format it using official software.
3) Check your card with h2testw.
4) Format it again as FAT32 with default cluster size.
5) Insert your card and start camera.
6) Poweroff your DSi and copy pit file to the SD.
7) Poweron your DSi and start camera.


You can't get english error text on japanese DSi. Japanese DSi/LL is a single japan language only. Recheck your FW.

Yes, to be fair that text was from my other dsi but it did exactly the same thing what my jpn dsi did.

- To Korean-language dsi users -
I even managed to run "unlaunch" with the help of "zoogie" yesterday.
But "hiyaCFW" doesn't seem to support the Korea version.
If you're a Korean with a goal of run TWiLight Menu++, you should wait until you apply.

You can skip HiyaCFW to immediately start TWiLight Menu++, so you can run most DS games and DSiWare properly.

I've got dozens of them and I'm using a 2GB right now. I've been hacking away at this thing for years. I've used the other exploits just fine but this one doesn't seem to load the launcher is all.

Guys - I've just done the exploit and got to the Unlaunch launcher. Moving around in there all ok, and then I guess I selected (pressed right) on Launcher I think.

Now when I reboot the DSi it goes straight to the DSi system prefs. See attached. Any ideas? I did backup my nand.

Help appreciated and couldn't see anyone else has had this issue on the thread. Cheers

Please check first:

Power on your DSi while holding SELECT.You should get to the HiyaCFW configuration screen.Is Autoboot title checked ?

How is it dead if it's properly booting a title?
Go back in Unlaunch's menu (A+B+power) and change the autoboot you configured and apparently don't like

Dead... I meant, maybe I'd screwed the firmware or the nand to the point of no return. I know zero about the DSi But this place is very helpful, rare for a forum!!

now i have a wifi problem, i made the nanad backup when it was off, then installed hiya cfw, now i can't turn the wifi led on, but it seems to work fine, and i can't switch it on or off, i get system error turn off console or smth
there is a chance of console break if i uninstalled ulaunch and remade the backup while wifi is on, seems that works, can anyone confirm please ?
