Hacking M3Sakura Ver1.35 2nd Edition (E)/(U) Version error/problem reports

@arogance1, moonshell 1.35 is kinda old now, try use 1.71 or 1.8 beta (with Sakura interface)

I meant Moonshell in Sakura 1.35
It works with the triple boot, but why does the triple boot version of Sakura not look as nice?

The TRIPLE is the hacked version with SAkURA and TOUCHPOD installed as separate units/loaders ..the 1.35 SAKURA and TOUCHPOD are intergrated (combined) as one single release but switchable with the A button

It works with the TRIPLE as that's an OLDER UNOFFICIAL HACKED RELEASE but again seems pointless when SAKURA 1.34/1.35 already has it inbuilt and its more polished and finished than the recent Moonshell betas ........

If DPG are not working at the minute (afaik no one else has reported this so far) they will fix it in the next release

Have you tried other DPG videos/clips to make sure its not just a bad DPG your testing!?

I've tried around 30 different dpg files and none of them work on Sakura 1.34 or 1.35..
My wife is using R4 firmware 1.18 and they all work fine.
In the triple loader, it doesn't work playing them through Sakura or iTouch, but the proper M3 loads them fine.

oops...I misread it
if the file is encoded for Touchpod then it won't work on Sakura, likewise if the video is encoded for Sakura then it won't work on Touchpod

do you mean ones encoded with the encoder that comes with 1.34 ?

The DSM encoder? then that would be DSM not DPG format

then no doubt that's the issue

just tried 1757 Solitaire Overload (US) with soft reset on, start a new card game, couldn't soft reset when pushing the buttons in game, turn off ds then on, Sakura is back in service

anything else you could throw at me?

Not off the top of my head, though I have seen other games do it. What kind of filesystem do you have your SD card formatted to? Maybe I should try that to see if it make a difference.

I'm using a 512mb Sandisk microsd..so it should be fat format by default and there should be no need to format your microsd under any condition..if the files ever got corrupted, all you need to do is delete them all..formatting only ruin it's life

since you think file system might make a difference, I'll test the game on my FAT32 4gb A-data just to satisfy you

update: Solitaire Overload works fine on both Sakura 1.34 and 1.35 with with Soft Reset ON.

What I mean is the typo here. It reads "Seaching For Cheat File..."

I didn't see the typo at first either, so I'll clarify it in case anyone else who reads it is as blind as me

"Seaching..." should have an r: Searching

M3 sakura v1.35:

- some cheats do not work.
- GBA-LINK function, freeze!


UPDATE: CONFIRMED! THE PROBLEM IS IN THE 1.35 RELEASE!
- i've downgraded to 1.35beta and cheats work perfectly!
- and GBA-LINK function works too!


TouchPod:

- setting the 1st folder (pressing start button) to make another default directory like "GameBoy Advance", works fine...

- setting the 2nd folder to make another default directory like "Nintendo DS"... freeze!

it could be mircosd card related..try a different microsd if you could get hold of another one.

same for me. sandisk 4gb.
I give up, I'll return to 1.34
