Hi all,

sorry if this is a stupid question, my Niece just got a NDSi XL for her birthday. Without making any deep investigation I bought her a M3i Zero card (the card has the GMP-Z003 label on the top right - it seems that this is not compatible with everything -).

Can the usage of this card change/brake anything in the NDS? I downloaded M3Sakura and installed/copied it on to the card.
If there's a place where I can read how these cards work I would appreciate it.

Thanks for the replies and sorry if this is an idiot question,

L. Pinho

I have a solution for your problem! Pick up your card, put it back in the box it came and mail it back.
M3i Zero GMP-Z003 is junk card only made to lock out alternate firmwares and is a piece of garbage.

I suggest investing into card such as Acekard 2i, EZ Flash Vi, or Supercard Two
Since those all are reliable and have very active teams that don't break their cards every time they update.

k, I understand now that the card is not the best of the group, but will it harm the NDS in any way?
@zizer: Is M3 Sakura considered a firmware?

Thanks

Sakura is the official firmware and will work on it.

And last I checked, it will do no harm on the NDS, but it will cause loads of frustration on the user

Ok, I checked the site were I bought the card, it doesn't sell the cards that you mentioned
frown.gif
(The store is more Sony driven, PSP and PS3)

Only R4i Gold, R4i Neo , DSTTi, so, it seems I might get stuck with this card ($hitty card, from what you're saying)

Any advices (that doesn't include exchange or throwing it to the garbage)

Thanks again for the quick replies,

L. Pinho

Just for the record, I have a Z003, and it works perfectly fine in my XL. Fits just fine, plays just fine, no danger of anything breaking at all.

But yeah, I agree with everybody in saying you should probably buy a different card. It gets the job done for me, but just barely now, and with each new game that comes out I think more and more about getting something like a Supercard.

My biggest concern is that my Niece is just 6 years old, so, it must a really easy card to use (at least from a final user point of view), the setup procedure and updates can be taken care by me or by her dad...

Thanks for all the advices....

BTW, after getting the card what should I install (bare in mind this is for a little girl).

Thanks again,

I didn't really understand, did you buy an AK2i?
If not, then R4i Gold could be considered good, since it works on DSi, supports microSDHC and works with Wood.

If you want an easy to use, easy to set up and easy to update card. Go with the Acekard 2i and install AKAIO on it. It uses AP-Bypass which means it doesn't need to update as often and means must new games will work right off the bat on it

I went today and looked at a motorcycle someone was selling. I get there and the battery on it was dead, so the guy grabbed a battery charger and hooked it up. He plugged it into the wall, and the motorcycle sparked and started smoking. Come to find out the bike uses a 6 volt battery and the guy had the charger set to 12v. I said sorry to the dude and walked away. I felt bad for him tho.
