Hello everyone! I need some help.
Long story short, I bought an M3i Zero GMP-Z003 second hand at a flea market for cheap about a week ago. It had no SD card or USB Adapter, just the cart itself.
I got it working in no time by following a guide I found on google titled "How to set up M3i Zero (GMP-Z003) for DSi v1.4.5 & 3DS v4.5.0-10. The links to update were dead, so I didn't try to update it until recently. (Sorry, I can't link directly 'cause I'm still a newbie.)
It works just fine on my 11.8.0-41U N3DS (it's running B9S with the latest Luma if this is important). However, it doesn't work at all on my DSi. I got this DSi in the same place super cheap, and it was formatted and updated to the latest version (1.4.5U), so no flip note, no Hiya CFW.
I have tried to update the cart to get it working on there with the file called "M3GUpdaterPlus_450HW.nds" through my N3DS. At the end it says "updateing success" but it still gives the error on the DSi that tells me to power it off. I have the 4.5 F_CORE.dat on the root too, so I don't know what I am doing wrong.
I have done this process in a DS Lite, though I cannot confirm anything since it has a broken top screen. I just pressed start twice and waited a few minutes.
I read on a thread here tilted "Need a little help with my m3 zero card" (Jan 5, 2016, OP: BootsLoader) that you don't need the usb adapter to update the cart (2nd reply by how_do_i_do_that).
If this helps too, I'm running M3 Sakura 1.49X 3rd TouchPod 4.9.
I don't think it's the slot on the DSi either since it plays games just fine.
Help is appreciated, thanks.
P.S. I know I can just use it on my N3DS and problem solved, but I currently have a little too much time in my hands, and tinkering with this is interesting, buuuuut I am a little stuck with this.
I'm aware of the age of the cart too, mainly doing this for fun/time killer.
EDIT:
Turns out I do need a cable lol. I didn't have one, so I made one out of a USB cable. Still no go on DSi though, I get a white icon, while it shows up as some Japanese game from Konami on N3DS and DSLite.
