hi i saw this drive on ebay please advise as it seems to be to good to be true for reading and backing up xgd3 discs thanks

Normal PC drives can't backup 360 games.

You'll need either a Kreon drive (specific PC drives iirc which are pretty hard to find) or a 360 drive itself with a 0800 firmware flashed to it.

If you're talking about burning XGD3 games then you'll need a Liteon iHAS B series indeed.

thankyou for your reply i have got a kreon drive but it dont back up the latest xgd3 discs this is why i am looking at a liteon ihas 124 b drive that is allready flashed with 0800 firmware v3
please explaine why this ebay ad is saying that it will read thanks

This is the brand new LiteOn IHAS124-19B optical drive which we pre-flash for you. Version B is the only version that will allow the iExtreme Burner Max to be applied.
iExtreme Burner Max pre-flashed and tested to read an 8.13Gb DVD.

You cannot backup XGD3 games with PC drives.
Even flashed hacked firmwares.

You will need a regular 360 drive flashed with 0800.
Ben-q or Liteon drive preferred.

the above posts are correct ihas drives can ONLY burn games not back them up, the seller's wording is incorrect.
