I honestly fail to see how it can be considered a coincidence. Pretty much all consoles that have a perma-CFW solution now will have undergone the stage of having to have the exploit reapplied after a reboot sometime in its hacking scene's life. Hell, even the PS Vita has to have HENkaku reapplied after a reboot today; are you going to call that a coincidence as well? 
Nope my PSP is on 6.60 and can't connect to the internet do you know a way of manualy updating though because I got a WiFi router with a new version of security.
can you give me a link to the 6.60 inifinity patch or is it the same as the 6.61 patch
Just update to 6.61. You can download the update on your PC from Sony's website, transfer it to the PSP over USB, then run the update application.
Then just download and install Infinity 6.61
