As expected SCFM crashes directly after Init because of bad eMMC when it tries to flush.

Even with the right LAN adapter you could have waited till the end of the universe and it wouldn't have helped.
And waiting longer on the update also wouldn't have helped. The update froze because it bricked.

So the eMMC needs to be replaced and then you can just rebuild the mlc.
I don't think you wanted to backup saves, but if you want to now would be the moment for it.
Yes, I want to backup saves, I don't have backups... JAJA, do I know what steps are taken?
And then how do you replace the eMMC? Is the chip physically changed?

How do I use Savemii from this menu?

Ok for the saves we need to dump the eMMC, but for that we need a newer minute because the old one you have, has a bug. And we need to flash the boot1 to slccmpt, so we can use a 64gb or larger SD for the dump.
Get the boot1.img and the fw.img from here: https://github.com/jan-hofmeier/minute_minute/releases/tag/sderase-v1.1
Rename the boot1.img to boot1_slccmpt.img and copy it on your current defuse SD.
Then go to backup and restore in minute and flash the boot_slccmpt.img to slccmpt.
After that we can use any FAT32 formatted SD and don't need to flash the boot1.img to it.
So grab an SD with at least 64gb, make sure it is FAT32 and put the new fw.img on it.
The card will be formatted, so make sure nothing important is on it.
Then boot the new SD and go to backup and restore and do format redNAND. That will take a while and clone the mlc to the SD card from where we can then extract the saves using wfs-extract

I made this change and I notice changes in the menu...

Then go to backup and restore in minute and flash the boot_slccmpt.img to slccmpt.
is "Dump BOOT1_SLCCMPT.RAW" or "restore BOOT1_SLCCMPT.RAW" or "restore BOOT1_SLCCMPT.IMG"?

After formatting you can try if you can boot the redNAND with this stroopwafel https://github.com/jan-hofmeier/stroopwafel/releases and this minute/rednand.ini:

Code:
[partitions]
slccmpt=false
slc=ture
mlc=true

[scfm]
disable=false
allow_sys=false
[CODE]
1710802280774.png

The file "wafel_core.ipx" was already in the SD memory, it is lost when formatting, right? because it says "dumping redNAND" and then "initializing SLC..."
and it's still there...
or are they different things?

yes, because of the format it is gone, but you need the new one anyway.
Is it hanging there on that SLC page, or is it progressing?

It is in process, since I told him about the "format redNAND"

Code:
 Backup and Restore

  Dump SEEPROM & OTP
  Dump Espresso OTP & bootrom
  Dump OTP via PRSHhax
  Dump SLC.RAW
  Dump SLCCMPT.RAW
  Dump BOOT1_SLC.RAW
  Dump BOOT1_SLCCMPT.RAW
  Dump factory log
  Dump sys crash logs
  Dump sys crash logs from redslc
> Format redNAND <
  Restore SLC.RAW
  Restore SLCCMPT.RAW
  Restore BOOT1_SLC.RAW
  Restore BOOT1_SLCCMPT.RAW
  Restore BOOT1_SLC.IMG
  Restore BOOT1_SLCCMPT.IMG
  Restore seeprom.bin
  Erase MLC
  Delete scfm.img
  Delete SLCCMPT scfm.img
  Delete redNAND scfm.img
  Restore redNAND MLC
  Sync SEEPROM boot1 versions with NAND
  Set SEEPROM SATA device type
  Test SLC and Restore SLC.RAW
  Return to Main Menu

that seems really slow. One SLC shouldn't take more then 5 minutes I think.
Maybe the SD card isn't detected properly and running at a lower clock

Should it be over already? I see that it is progressing somewhat slowly...
And how can I know if the SD is bad?

yes the SLCs should be done long by now. After that comes the MLC which will take much longer. So I would say restart and try again and maybe reseat the card or use another adapter if you use one

then I turn off the console, change the adapter, which is a MicroSd to SD...(I am using a 64GB MicroSD) to repeat this "RedNAND format" step?

The MLC has 0x3A20000 sectors (mot this is in hex not decimal). Just so you get a feeling how long it will take. At the proper speed it should take 30-60min
