In a recent interview, Republican frontrunner and criminal defendant Donald Trump alluded to the possibility of a non-peaceful transfer of power should he lose the 2024 election:

"I think we're going to win. And if we don't win, you know, it depends. It always depends on the fairness of an election."

I've extracted this quote from a much longer paragraph of Trump's usual nonsensical babble. You're welcome. :D

Trump's extensive history of steadfast unwillingness to accept defeat suggests another cry of a rigged election should he lose. This quote seems to affirm that idea, implying that he will once again call for recounts, resubmissions, and any other measures that would increase the odds of a turnover in his favor.

I'd like to take this moment as well to mention the Presidential election of 1960, in which Nixon lost several states where voter fraud was actually present. From Wikipedia's page on Nixon:

"There were charges of voter fraud in Texas and Illinois, both states won by Kennedy. Nixon refused to consider contesting the election, feeling a lengthy controversy would diminish the United States in the eyes of the world and that the uncertainty would hurt U.S. interests."

Quite the juxtaposition, huh? What are your thoughts?

Nothing wrong with questioning the integrity of an election that puts the top person in charge of the US, however I'm pretty sure we're at a point that nothing can be considered credible when anything can be falsified electronically and mail-in ballots are a thing.

Dumbass thinks he can play coy after Project 2025 is already out in the open. Republicans want to implement a fully fascist government, plain and simple. If you don't fall in line with worshiping Shitler, you'll be maimed or killed. That's the message he's trying to send here.

and do you know who those false electoral counts were for? it wasn't biden iirc someone triend a ballot stuff scheme armed with guns to force the counters to tally the fake votes for you guessed it trump i wonder if the independant will get elected for the first time in history (my guess is no) but the majority dislikes both biden and trump so who knows?, Independant is basicly a throw away vote with a 1% chance becoming the winner

For Trumpet, an election would be fair if-and-only-if he's the winner.

His sentence sounds like a menace to Democracy... But well, he's a Republican, so people can't expect less from him.

But even then, when Trumpet was US's president, no war was enforced "in the name of Democracy", so now I don't know what's better for the US -directly- and the world -indirectly-.

What I do know for sure is that Bidon -pun- is an a**h*le dinosaur.

I don't care to try and say I understand the election system outside of who has more votes, and the electoral college being a separate set of people to vote as a smaller sample of the whole. But my point was only that shit isn't safe anymore no matter what road we take it, there will always be some sort of corruption/shady shit going on that makes the people just not believe in it.

Trump's said that he would accept the results of the election if it's fair. But just like last time, he's priming his moronic supporters to think it'll be stolen "again", so if he loses, they'll never believe it.

He'll never say directly what would satiate his desire for a fair election because that's all part of his con.

Do you believe there is no corruption in any part of the U.S.?

Basically saying I don't care what the outcome is anymore because I can see literally anything happening nowadays given technology useless at a certain point security wise/lobbyists being a large problem as well.

Have you ever watched Hellsing Abridged and in the last episode they say that President <Large list of Corporations> has been doing wonders for the economy, I wouldn't even be surprised anymore.

As much as I respect Team four star, I wouldn't take them verbatim. And yes there is obviously corruption everywhere. Mostly on thr republicans and the right in general.

+1. Expressing skepticism is one thing. Completely giving up and saying "oh well, there's going to be corruption everywhere, boo hoo" is both lazy and counterproductive. All methods of voting in this country are extremely airtight and methodical. If anything, Trump's accusations of election fraud and the resulting careful analyses are testament to that. Saying the system doesn't work without evidence helps no one and plants baseless seeds of doubt.

Aren't there more republicans under investigation than cases of voter fraud? That's how the UK is

Not taking it verbatim, but it's not hard to see how much corporations control the government whether it's holding trademarks way past their intended public domain release or whatever else by lobbying. And it's both sides, not just the Republicans who are also problematic.

That wouldn't surprise me, honestly. Voter fraud is a much smaller problem (in the US, at least) then right-wing extremists make it out to be. The only possible incentive to spread fear about voter fraud is to undermine election integrity (something that comes in handy when you're losing. A dick move, but an effective one nonetheless).

Who said anything about public domain and copyrights?
Of course there's going to be bad actors on both sides. However, with regard to election integrity issues right now virtually the only people pushing that narrative are far-right. I'm saying this from an objective/observational standpoint, not as an opinion. There is a correlation there.

Actually there was a confirmed Voter Fraud in a Local Election between 2 Dems back East somewhere, either in Mass, or Maine, forgot where. But someone was caught on Camera dumping Ballots in a Drop Box, and was not Certified to do that. So it can happen.

But with how Technology is, you never know. It could be Fair, or it could not. With how they are in Office, you never know. But with Fraud, good luck Proving it.
Plus, with Voting, they could Nullify your Vote anytime they feel like it. Happened up in Washington State before. People overwhelmingly Voted to Approve a Measure, but then they said People did not know what they were Voting on, so they scrapped it. If they could do it with that, they could do it with anything.
