Hacking Is this cart real?

Hey guys i purchased this awhile back i inserted my micro sd card into it today (with r4 wood) and a screen like this appears

So i tried it in my regular r4 just in case and it worked....heres what the cart i bought looks like

That little oval had a sticker on it saying "truth inquiry" or something like that...being the noob that i am i took it off and lost it...

For the back if you want to read it you can use your hi-tech zooming shit.
But anyone know if this is real or fake? If its fake im just going to store it in my closet never to be seen again

It's not really a fake, per se. It's more of a clone. Anything a longer name than R4 is a clone other then R4i Gold and R4 Wood will not work on it.

If you can find out what kind of clone it is, better firmware can be suggested.
Try: Wood for DSTT and Wood for M3

Whichever one works would tell you what kind of clone it is at least.

It is 100% a FAKE.

It updates fairly regularly, but may take some work to get working depending on the clone. Like I said, try a couple different firmwares to see what actually works. If YSMenu would work, I would suggest Wood for DSTT over it for the time being anyways. Prettier interface and less updates required.

Updates have been consistent lately.

WoodTT is a better firmware but it's stuck on version 1.25 because ywg cut off the source code and it can't be ported anymore. Basically that means you have to patch new games one at a time if they're even available.

Well, that rules out just a general SDHC type clone or a DSTT clone, so I doubt YSMenu will work, but you can try it. You could potentially have an Acekard clone. There are clones for nearly everything anymore, it gets pretty hard to tell. Also try that multi-cart update. I can guarantee the base firmware for it (it being the clone) is probably trash.

There's like three different firmwares on that page. I'd start with the oldest at the bottom and work you're way to the top of the page.

Thanks! The second one up worked...well now i cant play pokemon white for awhile

Pokemon black and white will probably be fixed with the new firmware release 1.34b. I am also waiting on it.
