Dumping Onto Flashcarts

I was in the middle of patching a CIA of Fire Emblem Fates Birthright that I had obtained via dumping a cartridge with the FE14 fan translation. I found out during this process that it was impossible to dump the patched CIA back onto my cartridge because cartridges are read-only so I could only reinstall the CIA as if it were an eShop title, making my physical copy completely worthless.

I'm curious to know if I could hypothetically purchase a flashcart, download a japanese FE14 CIA from some website, patch the CIA, dump the CIA onto the flashcart, and peel the sticker off my FE14 cartridge and put it on the flashcart and treat it as though it's a regular cartridge. I am aware that it would be much easier for me to just install the patched CIA onto my 3DS digitally but I like owning/playing physical games and since I already own a case for this game I would like to be able to use it.

Apparently there are Stargate clones available for cheap nowadays. That is the best you are going to get.

This is just for flashcart collectors.
I just bought it out of curiosity about the cartridge.
It's not expensive, as it's currently around $30 on aliexpress.

It arrived today and I've been playing around with it.

The unusual thing about this cartridge is that it has two EEPROMs, and presumably each one has 3DS and NDS mode firmware.
The unique feature of this cartridge is that it has two SPI flash.
Each one holds different data: save data and Alex Rider data for NDS.

The important thing to remember about running 3DS ROMs is that you should not use decrypted ROMs.

If it would work, you'd still need a hacked 3ds to actually play it (since the game isn't "legit")
It seems like you already have a hacked 3d since you could dump it etc, but just something to keep in mind.
Physical is overrated - digital backups that you're in control of are cooler

The link's not loading correctly for me for some reason, but the URL suggests it's some kind of Gateway clone – in which case it's not going to work properly on the latest firmware. You can still use it on a 3DS if you set up an emuNAND, but that's kind of inconvenient.
