I see. Thats good to know. I guess I might upgrade then, once I get my hands on a laptop. But the main problem, however, is my issue with the reboot patches. None of luma's, cake's, or rxtools' patches work. I might just be missing something, I just don't know what
I had this problem on my son's O3DS. Updating Luma to the latest nightly through star updater fixed it.
The O3DS is running A9LH but there is an option for menuhax too.
It still does not work using the latest official build.

So i decided to format my SD and start from scratch. Yes. Back. To. Zero.
I got all the files on hand, the starter pack, CFW files, everything. But for some reason, browserhax keeps getting stuck on a red screen (doesnt load HBL)
I can access emunand via rXtools using www.reboot.ms/3ds/load.html?rxtools.dat and I tried FBI, but i get the database error. So i tried the fix (delete db files and create empty ones) but when i try, database error is still there.

which rxtools you installed? 3.0 nightly?
Try to install that version and then follow this guide:

Thanks for all the help! Back to CFW (using your root pack) now I just need to get FBI working so I can reinstall my CIAs. It got messed up somehow. And I dont know why repairing the .db files isn't working. Im having issues installing from HBL as well. Any ideas?
Gosh, i really can't understand why people try to shove in A9LH before actually trying to understand his problem.
Have you tried another SD card injecting the same emunand?
Also, when you do de DB trick you need to open up mset (Sys Settings [Emunand in this case]) and go to data management. It will ask you to repair data, let it do it. It won't fix by itself.
You shouldn't have the database error on FBI anymore.
If on 9.2 for the emunand part try the rxtools injection for emunand (as dirty as it may be, it worked way back then)
if not try to load HB and install cia using 3dsx of FBI.
I don't know if this may be an SD-speed issue since i have an old3dsXL mset 4.1 Sysnand Rxtools (10.3)Emunand 32GB UHC1 (Class10) and a small o3ds 9.2 Menuhax Sysnand, Rxtools (10.3) Emunand 8GB class 4/4gb Normal SD. Both work just fine with the reboot patches of SSB4 and MH4U. [I know i have to a9lh them as a homework, but have lacked the time and interest to thoroughly do it]
EDIT: Both nands are unlinked in the two 3ds's.
EDIT2: Also i know that a9lh is the superior option here, but doesn't seem related to his issue since using multiple CFW the problem persists.

If you read the OP you'd see OP needed to path change. You can't and don't need to path change on Menuhax, and even if they were, that's more or less the reason I put "if using a9lh". Go be mad somewhere else.
I read the whole thread, and i'm not mad at all or with anyone in particular.
Thing is OP says he's gone back to square one with the CFW and the issue persists.
Personally, I would try restoring a pre-hacked NAND backup to see if it's not an issue with the system itself.
FBI is already injected (emunand). The problem is, I get the "Database not found" error whenever I try to install CIAs.

EDIT: Trying to repair DB files on emunand do NOT work. When I go to System Settings>Data management, it does not prompt me to repair the database files like it does when I do it in sysnand.
