What version of Luma do you have now?

If you have v7.1, follow this guide: https://3ds.guide/updating-b9s
If you have v7.0.5, follow this guide: https://3ds.guide/a9lh-to-b9s

Afterwards, you can update your system firmware if you so wish to.

You do mean luma update to 8.1.1, not system update to 11.6, right?

First, what's your current luma version?

You're using the wrong version of Luma Updater. Install my fork, found here, then use that to update to Luma 8.1.1. Also, don't make another thread related to the same issue.
