CFW 3DS has been asking for an update for 2 weeks

Is there a reason for this? I didn't read anything about a new official update around 2 weeks back. It started when I left the system running for a day. When I returned, it wanted to update and now hassles me every time I turn the console on. Assume it's nothing to do with cfw and I should ignore it? Anyway to turn off the message?

It is safe to update the firmware if it is a system update.

Did you delete any system apps? If so the 3ds will see they are missing and do a system update to redownload whatever app you deleted

Ohhh, yeah, that may be it. I deleted the Mii stuff around then as I have no intention of using it. Is this a problem if I want to download official game updates? Thanks for the solve, btw.

You're asking for troubles if you continue uninstalling system titles.
Don't use fbi or gm9 to UNinstall programs. Just use the official menus for that, unless you know exactly what are you doing.
