Who is you daddy? And what does he do?

What does the save mode option toggle do? (ie what does "normal" or "Alternative" mean?)

What are the pros and cons of using the battery saver option?

I'M A COP YOU IDIOT!

Lol wut.

The save mode let you decide where to keep your save files. Normal means the save files are in the same folder as the rom while alternative means they are in a seperate folder.

Battery saver, obviously, saves battery. The con is it messes up some games and I've noticed when you have it on games sometimes freeze after closing then opening the lid. If a game start freezing often randomly or at a certain point try disabling the option.

I got one last question: Does the Battery Saver option just offset additional battery consumption caused by the CycloDS? Or does it extend the already prodigious battery life of the NDS?

of course it lessens consumption of the NDS battery life by the CycloDS. its done by isolating some processes(the unnecessary ones) made by CycloDS or any other flashcart, keeping the NDS use lesser power. IT DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN IT EXTENDS THE BATTERY LIFE.

It just makes the battery last longer than it would normally when you use a Cyclo. It still lasts less than when playing an official cart.

Which is welcoming since without it the Cyclo sucks battery faster than most flashcarts on the market. There are rumours that, with the Battery Saver on, it can last longer than an R4. Not sure if this is true.

Normal puts saves in the game's directory, Alternative puts it in a folder called Saves in root.

Battery Saver:

Cons: TWEWY Freezes at the first cutscene.
Pros: Everything else

So if you don't use the battery saver, TWEWY doesn't freeze?
Because I heard it froze at all flashcards, unless you keep the bandwith down by flipping your DS open and closed the whole time.
That happened with my M3 Perfect Slim...
