Does that save editor from a few pages back still work, post-update? I can't test it right now (I'm cooking for my wife and her family right now with some brief downtime while I wait for bechamel sauce to simmer), but I would appreciate someone telling me if it does or does not since I can't immediately check for at least a few hours.

I havent used trainers for any Wii U games but since I'm having to update the codes for each version I assume the trainers also need to be updated to use the latest address changes. Could be wrong but thats likely the best answer.

Ah, I see. I decided just to give it a shot and see if any important addresses had changed for save editing, and it seems like it went okay, for the most part.

The save editor does seem to work. I tried it and kept a backup of my save by keeping the original dumped from Saviine, and the game loaded my save just fine with the edited weapons that I made (I got sick and tired of trying to get a 5* 8 slot Summoning Gate, lol). There's nothing in the editor for Toon Link's Sand Rod or Toon Zelda's... whatever she had, I don't remember, but everything else in the editor still works even if it doesn't get updated. For anything else, Remix probably has it covered on the last page, though.

And thus ends my address to other dumbasses like myself, lol. Thanks, good sir.

I wasnt aware of any save editor for the game other than what Gamzam posted. It was never implied that user was using a save editor and maybe just basic debugging tool like I was using so I thought it was just plain stupid asking when someone will find the values for the weapons when I literally posted them a day before anyone asked for them. Writing is literally on the walls for this one.

I dont know if its possible to contact that dev who made that tool and ask for an update but if you cant wait any further than try your hand at manually editing your save like a few users and I do around here, as long as you hold onto your backup you cant go wrong.

Hm? The editor I was messing with was the one linked in the first page, made by Marc Marx, not the trainer made one post up from mine. My reply wasn't about anything in particular regarding you or another user, I was just replying, in general, after determining the answer to my earlier question, just in case someone would ask later.

I don't see the need to bother somebody who was nice enough to set up a save editor page, since I managed to do everything I needed just fine. Thanks for the idea, though if he wants to update it, that'd be cool, but I resolved my own question and was just making it known, lol.

Is it possible to edit in gold skultulla progress in the save file? I've barely gotten any of those, and don't want to go through the process of collecting them...

Has anyone heard any official word from @marc_max if he's updated the online editor for the new update. It's no big deal if not. For that matter, has anyone found the info for the new weapons and characters added in the latest update?

Edit: Just checked the editor. There are no spaces for Toon Zelda or the Sand Wand. If anyone finds (or has found) those values/addresses, please forward them to @marc_max so he can add them to the editor.

I guess they are just simply after the previous characters.

Okay. How do I get max Twilight and Termina map items?

Everytime there is an update to the game like we got just recently someone has to go in and find the offset for the previous codes. I finished the adventure maps a long time ago so it would be difficult for me to track the exact addresses for what you are asking. There was another user who was good at finding the adventure items but I forgot his name.

@marc_max I don't really know how to find the new character offsets, but I do have a way to get the Weapon IDs for the new weapons. I found them in slots 68 and 70 in my save. They show as blank in the Weapon ID box, so they must be the Sand Wand and Phantom Sword. I don't know which is which, because I can't edit them. The moment I view them, then change to a different slot, the editor sets them to a Knight's Sword, presumably because it thinks they're corrupted. I'm attaching the save here. I'm assuming the first one is the Sand Wand, as if I recall correctly it was the first you get a notification about upon loading the game for the first time with the DLC.

Thank you! Added both character and weapons. Please, check if the weapons are right.
Also... Why did no one tell me that the editor tabs were not showing up correctly? Fixed that too!

I think you mixed up the Sand Wand and Protector Sword (Toon Zelda's weapon). I only have the base Protector Sword, but editing the save file shows that I have one with Exp+ along with a couple others, which matches what I have for the Sand Wand. I'm hoping the mixup is in name only, but I'll finish editing and see...

EDIT: Yup, it worked. Just switch the names of the 3 Sand Wand and 3 Toon Zelda weapons and it'll be fine.

Can someone help explain to me how weapon slots work? More so how I can know which slot number I should be using with Marc's save editor? I'm trying to make a master sword if that makes any difference.

Just find an empty slot and create your Master Sword in that. The weapon table is not organised in any way, when choosing a weapon the game just looks through all the rows for any weapons matching the weapon type you're choosing.

That's what I had figured. I guess the save editor just isn't inputting the values on to my savefile. I guess I'll have to try my hand at hex editing.

I was messing around with the initdata.bin located in content/data/common and found that you can change some parts of the weapon data and even have two characters share and use the same weapons.

Code:
Weapon Data begins at 0x4DF8
Each weapon is 89 (0x59) bytes long
With the latest update (1.12.0) empty slots start at 0x8277

The first 12 (0xC) bytes are
00 WT CS WL BP BP 00 ID 00 CH 00 EL

the other 77 (0x4D) bytes are unknown. They most likely related to skills and other stats.

WT = Weapon Type (1 byte)
CS = Combo Set (1 byte)
WL = Weapon Level (1 byte)
BP = Base Power (2 bytes)
ID = Weapon ID (1 byte)
CH = Character ID (1 byte)
*EL = Element (1 byte)
*While changing this does changed what element is displayed on the select screen it does not seem to do anything else.

It's possible to have two characters share the same set of weapons by going to the empty slot data and changing the first 10 bytes.
For example: If you want Tetra and Toon Link to share the Sand Wand then you would go to offset 0x8277 and change the first 10 bytes to

00 2B 01 04 00 50 00 8D 00 37

The only parts that matter when you want to share a weapon are the Weapon Type, Weapon Level, Weapon ID, and Character ID. The 79 bytes after don't matter and can be left as is.
Note that the Weapon Type and ID must match and the weapon level needs to be 5.
