The only good installment in the franchise, i.e. the first movie (fite me), is getting a live action remake. Why? Because money.

Scenes are pretty much 1:1 reshoots of the original scenes, and the dragons and dragon animation is exactly the same, FFS look at Toothless, this is more of a remaster than a remake. They just turned the human character models HD and refreshed the grass and water textures.


Anyway, yeah. I hope this means new toy releases because older HTTYD toys are hard to find.

ANYWAY

I appreciate 1:1 shots of specific scenes, but I hope the whole thing isn't just a remaster. While I enjoy some goofyness, I hope for the general story to have a more dark and serious tone.

I'm a huge fan of the second movie, but the universe has a problem with character making dumb decisions, power creepness and plot being sacrificed for the sake of emotional messages or cool factor, especially in the third movie.
