Hacking How to setup R4i Gold?

They tell me to download 4 different things, and to combine the Wood ad Firmware and do a copy and renaming, AAAAHHHHH I CANT TAKE IT.

Is there a simple way to setup the R4i Gold for the 3DS v3.0.0-6U? And do I have to update through another DS? D*:

Just access www.r4ids.cn and download wood r4 v1.46.
Unzip wood to the root directory of your tf card.
That's all.

Do not update your card because all r4i gold have been pre-flashed to support the latest system.

Very easy, just download the wood V1.46 from here: ftp://r4idsdown:[email protected]/Wood_R4iGold_V1.46.rar Extract the file and put all the files in your SD card, then you can play.

This is not ALWAYS true. The v1.44 update was just released a week ago, so there's a strong chance his card would need that update (3DS or not, keeping the card updated is a good practice)

1. download
2. unzip
3. put inoto sd card.

DONE!

Well there are 4 downloads, and the site says to put em in and combine and blah blah blah.....

But I see that I only need the Wood, right? Will Moonshell and the R4i Menu all work with just that?

If you only need to play DS games, then just use the wood firmware. If you want to enjoy the multi media functions, you will either use the V1.51C or the Moonshell V2.0.
