Hacking How to install DLC on RedNAND ! [ENGLISH/FRENCH TUTORIAL]

If you follow the guide , the DLC should still be there after rebooting now !

This guide assumes that you know how to use the homebrew launcher !

HOW TO INSTALL DLCs ON RedNAND w/sigpatches​

Spoiler: Requirements

- RedNAND w/sigpatches (tutorial on how to set it up here)

- A bit of free space on your SD card and USB storage

- Python

- WupInstaller Y

- FunKiiU

Spoiler: Downloading the DLC

- Find the titleID and titleKey of the DLC you want to download.

- Make a .bat file in the same folder as FunKiiU and open it in notepad , and modify it with the following syntax

python FunKiiU.py -title titleidhere -key titlekeyhere

- Then , launch the script , it will generate a ticket only """valid""" in RedNAND along with the DLC files !

Put the .app .h3 and .tik files in a sub folder of "install" , like this :

SD:\Install\DLC name\(Put the DLC files here!)

- Make sure the game you want is installed to your USB drive (this is important , or else the DLC will disappear after rebooting RedNAND)

- Install using a WUPInstaller (or system config tool) on USB , just like your game and it's updates (this is important , or else the DLC will disappear after rebooting RedNAND).

- Trouvez le TitleID et TitleKey du DLC que vous vous installer.

- Faites un fichier de script batch .bat dans le même dossier que FunKiiU et ouvrez-le dans le bloc-notes , puis , modifiez-le avec la syntax suivante :

python FunKiiU.py -title titleidici -key titlekeyici

- Enregistrez et lancez le script que vous venez de faire , et modifier , cela génèrera un ticket "title.tik" qui sera seulement """valable""" avec RedNAND.

- Mettez les fichiers .app .h3 .tmd et .tik dans un dossier comme-ceci :

SD:\Install\DLC name\(Put the DLC files here!)

- Soyez certain que le jeu et ses mises a jour sont stockés sur une périphérique USB.

- Installez le DLC avec WupInstaller Y sur le votre stockage USB (c'est important que l'installation du DLC se fasse sur votre clé USB , sinon , le DLC aura disparu après avoir redémarrer RedNAND)

i have never seen the mods get upset about that, only upset if there is NO english.

and hmmm, magia is nice and simple, but FunKiiU can make the ticket/download the ticket, download the contents... it is not only for dlc.
you can use -ticketsonly to ONLY make the ticket if you want.
so, i would say it's a more useful tool.

but nice for the tutorial for people.

AFAIK, it is forbidden to post messages containing non-english language only. However, having a translation is fine and hurts nobody.

Sorry for the silly question, but where must python.exe be located for this to work properly? If I install python normally, my .bat file failes and I can't even find python.exe anywhere.. is that normal?

Great guide by the way. I installed python straight in the FunkiiU folder and it works, but it seems a bit complicated.

If you installed python 2.7 it will be located in C:/Python27/python.exe

For the .bat to run correctly you need to have python listed in your environment variables in path.

Python 3 is fine as well. In any case those bat files only work if python is set as an environmental variable.
