Hi all

is it possible for me to set up an EmuNand (9.5) on my 3ds which is currently on 9.2 without downgrading and with out owning a NDS flashcard ?

if someone could please link me to an easy to follow tutorial i would be grateful.

my primary purpose of this is to access the e-shop and i do not want to downgrade as i own a retail Pokemon AS and i do not want to lose my save files.

if there is a way for me to downgrade and still use my retail Pokemon AS with its current saves please do mention that as well.

Thank you very much.

Edit: I do not own a gateway either.

You'll need either a gateway or a nds flashcart. Otherwise it isn't possible.

Anyway, this is a guide on how to downgrade without needing gateway, but you'll still need a nds flashcart.
http://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial...r-firmware-to-cfw-4-5-without-gateway.378371/

the guide mentioned here:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/beta-spider-ds-profile-roploader-4-x-only.380725/

does it without needing any flashcards but requires me to downgrade. so is there anyway similar to this for me to set up emunand with out any flashcard ?

You could try to follow the first youtube video I linked up to the part where he uses the card. You'll need the sd card with the correct launcher.dat from gateway, start the network exploit and go further from there.

The gateway card itself is ONLY used to play backups and homebrew. Everything else can be done without.

Alright, I'll try to explain it without youtube then :P

You will need the Gateway 3.0.4 launcher. If this is downloaded, put it on the root of your SD card.

Then, you'll need to go to http://go.gateway-3ds.com
When the bottom screen changes to white, Press and hold the Left Shoulder button and your 3DS/2DS will boot to the Gateway Menu.

From there on out you should be able to install emunand by choosing 'Format EmuNAND'. This will format your SD card, so make sure you have all your files on your pc.

When that is finished, use the web exploit again, and select 'Boot Gateway mode'

That should put you in the GW9.2, which is the emuNAND.

EDIT:

I would recommend to also make a backup of your sysnand, and also put that on your PC, just in case. You can do this with 'Back up System NAND'.

If you still have any questions, take a look at this:

As a heads up to others visiting this thread, the mentioned method of using gateway emunand does NOT work. (You need to own a gateway to finish the last few steps)

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
