Homebrew How do I prevent my 3ds from being bricked?

I want to downgrade my 3DS from 10.3 to 9.2, but I want to have a backup plan should my 3ds gets bricked.

nand backup, and don't do anything else on sysnand that will modify firmware files.

It is very unlikely to brick just by doing that especially if using an o3ds/2ds.

Use safesysupdater
Don't turn it off while downgrading.
Format 3DS beforehand (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO LOWER SOFT-BRICK CHANCES! You do not want to be stuck on 10.4!!!)
And, if you have the ability to, I would do a hardmod just to be safe.

I recommend you just do it. Just be paranoid about everything you do and triple check everything. SafeSysupdater is awesome.
