I have a NAND backup and I was wondering: But if my 3DS bricked with the blue screen of death, would it be possible to access godmode 9 to restore the backup?

You can try this. Press and hold (Start), and while holding (Start), power on your console. This will launch GodMode9

Yes, it is possible to boot into GodMode9 with ntrboot method. In case of software damage this can be repaired.
Please read this (closed) thread.

In case of hardware damage (for example: messed up hardmod attempt, defective NAND chip) booting GodMode9 might be still possible, but it is ultimately useless.
