with all discovery recently, how close we are to play psx and psp games?
Can't the Vita play PSX and PSP out of the box? Lol
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S7
If I'm right we need a kernel hack for that henkaku has one but since we don't have access to the source code we don't have access to the kernel hack so we have to wait for some one to reverses engineer henkaku.
Are people actively working on a DC emulator for the vita? Or even if its reicast on the vita? i saw it in the request thread earlier?
If they can hack vita games , can't they also do the same for ps1/psp from the psn store vita compatible games ? Make then run as a vpk
We still don't know if we can hack Vita games.
You are now able to play any PSP game you purchased regardless of Sony. I don't know if it works with PSX. The requirements are a real PSP and a Vita on 3.60.
The thing there is whats the point if you can play it on the psp...
You don't believe the Odin sphere hacker ?
I believe him but he wont release his tool.
Of course. He works part-time at Atlus and part-time at Falcom, and got a devkit of both Odin Sphere Leifdrasir and Tokyo Xanadu.
Oh, and risked both jobs for 5 minutes of fame. /s
How do you know its a dev kit.
The guy will end up releasing a hundred games and people will still keep claiming he has access to all those devkits lmao
It shouldn't be too far away since Major_Tom's VitaRW homebrew app can write to the protected partitions.... Once the encryption(?) or whatever is stopping the old exploitable PSP emu from 3.18 running on 3.60 (somebody tried this already) we should be able to have TN-V and TN-X back, I hope. Having a portable PS1 in your pocket is the best thing ever!
i thought the PSP mode was pretty much fully hacked?
This has nothing to do with HENkaku. Someone could potentially use it to bypass the blocks Sony put in place with OFW 3.55, but you most likely need another ePSP kernel exploit (not a VITA kernel exploit) to be able to load PSP ISOs.
It was. But Sony patched the kernel exploits a few firmwares ago and there is no public kexploit for 3.60.
