Help me identify an arcade game my mom played ~30 years ago

So, I'm looking for an arcade machine game. Its basically a space shooter not entirely unlike Space Invaders. You have your little spaceship on the bottom and the enemy mother ship is at the top. You use your little canon to chip away at the lower part of the enemy spaceship, until you reach its core or destroy enough of it or something.
Here's a generic visual aide. The yellow parts are destroyable. Those squares apparently too. I don't know if they're like cores you have to destroy, or just for bonus points.
I guess the goal would be to destroy the ship.
