ROM Hack Guitar Hero On Tour - Custom songs?

just a quick follow up, I've extracted songs and charts, but seeing ccfman2004 post I think I'll stop working on it now that I know that there are other people to handle it. I don't want to race or anything like that...

I posted about the program in the hopes that someone could analyze the unknown files and figure out the stuff we don't know.

The more people working on this, the faster we'll figure this out.

Seems the guy called 'tma' over at Score Hero has nearly got this nailed. He says he's 99% sure he's found the charts. Then he starts talking about strings of data in the ROM, which just confuses me.

Well, seeing as I know basically nothing about strings of data i'm just going to try to replace the .ogg files. I know it probablly won't work and the arm9 might reject it. But if it works just turn band down in options and guitar up and you have a song play by the wrong notes lol. Whatever. I'll hang around and see how this turns out.

I dont really understand programming fully, although I make games on GM (I know thats not really scripting but it can be if you use variables and script code commands and I do). Anyway I am a fast learner and want to help so give me an assignment and ill move on it, I also am about to check IRC on the DSO channel and see if I can find some programmers or haxerz.

I never did get that IRC on DS Organize working... I had a cheap Games n Music though.

ogg is a sound file right? have you listened to them, maybe swap it out, another song, but no chart yet.

OK I Am Really new at this but mabye is there a way to use the action replay ds to make a custom song?

No, Action Replay uses in game data. Custom songs arn't in the game data. AR is only for stuff already there.

Yeah, just get a flash cart, it's much easier mate! The Action Replay DS can only inject code into the game (I think), custom songs would require you to overwrite and delete songs (and text possibly) in the game.

Also, progress seems incredibly fast still.

Please share if this works! I just really want custom songs, the frets don't have to be right yet! This would definitely be a way of tiding us over while the guys continue working on what I know will be magic!

You should check the score hero forum, he made his own program, tma and zelda have got this down dude!

Note: It's hard to admit, but I have done NOTHING!! I cannot and DID NOT take claim for TMA's and Zelda's Work! N'JOY!
