Total Noob here. I'm looking to purchase an Acekard 2i. I just got one and have been using it on my DS and would like to create another one. Looking for a good web site to look for one. Thanks!

I ordered mine from GameKool.com a while back. It was and still is $15.10 with free shipping. I got it VERY fast (8 days total, including the weekend and a Chinese holiday), so I would highly recommend them.

Another I've heard good things about is lightake.com who I think is new. From what I hear, they ship without the box which depending on your outlook could be a good thing (saves everyone a little money). I think they also have someone on the forums here, which is good, so you know they're active and attentive.

Well I don't know yet if the one I just got is fake, but after setting it up and trying to run it on my DSi I get the black screen error, so either it has not been updated to work with my 1.4U which they said it would be right on the product page or its bad card, either way, Personally I wouldn't buy from them again.

You must be the guy sent us an email yesterday .Chances are the acekard 2i you got is not compatible with the latest NDSi firmware , Recently several buyers report this same issue to us , sorry for the inconvenience. What you need to do is upgrade the acekard 2i with a NDS Lite following this tutorial . http://www.acekard.com/bbs/viewthread.php?...;extra=page%3D1

As they said in another topic, it seems that it was a mistake that some people got them not upgraded:QUOTE(Lightake @ Jan 5 2011, 01:30 AM) Acekard team told us new acekard 2i produced after October 2010 is compatible with 1.4.1 , but recently some buyer reported the acekard 2i they got from us needed to upgrade to work on 1.4.1 DSi . I think there are still some old acekard 2i remains in the market and our warehouse ... So OP please just upgrade the ak2i to 1.4.1 with NDS Lite . Sorry for the inconvenience.
Mistakes happen, but at least they're admitting it.

On the yahoo page, the guy mentions two identical reviews on the same site, but doesn't link to it.
Also, there's this:QUOTEhttp://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=8…
It's a topic by a guy named Urza with 5,569 posts, and the topic itself is 8 pages long, the topic advises that you do not buy from gamekool, seems pretty legit.
I have a slight problem with the topic from Urza and that is it's never mentioned WHY the sites are bad. Sure there's a list at the top of what could get them added, but not every site is the same. Should a place that "Does not update pages when out of stock" one time or or was slow to update during a sales spike deserve the same treatment as one that "Has been known to take money and never reply back to the buyer" or is a "Straight-up scam site"?
The topic was a good idea, especially with the page layout screenshots, but poor implementation.

GameKool has an account here, but I haven't seen them spam. The closest I've seen to GameKool spam was from Jakob95, but even that was just frequent recommendations.
Costello, a GBAtemp Administrator, recommended them as an alternative for ShopTemp when it stopped selling cards.

I recommend them because I had a GREAT experience with them. As I said earlier, I got my item in 8 days total, including a weekend and Chinese holiday. My previous experience was a few years back with Divineo.com where I spent ~$50+15 shipping for a basic R4 which took nearly 2 months to get to me from Canada (in part due to the original spring loaded version being discontinued and replaced with the 'friction clip' version) during which time I got no notifications or responses.

I have not seen any reason to NOT recommend them. Sure there have been issues with orders from them in the past, just like with any store -- digital or otherwise, but the ones posted here that I've seen have been taken care of.

Only other thing I can say is, if you're still weary of GameKool then buy from Lightake.

That does bring up a good point. I've noticed that too about the flaws in the forum thread "sites what not to buy from". Like you said before, they treat every mistake and or ill intent as the same treatment which in itself isnt fair to many litigment sites.
