weird problem, the game was working fine until i engage the two generals then the screen goes black and stays theres is there a way to fix this?

btw im currently using Acekard 2i 1.81 firmware with Sandisk 2gb

Pendor is a beta tester you sillies. He works closely with the AKAIO Team and you can hit him up on the Acekard IRC channel on GBATemp. You can believe what he says, he's trustworthy most of time XD

You can also always check the latest revision of the beta on the IRC channel but its not available for download nor will anyone give it to you x)

Shouldn't be too long, hopefully before the holiday season, that would seem most logical. The testers don't really know as Normmatt has the final say, but they would know more about the development of the beta than we would.

I have been reading this thread and I had a question.
This is my SD Card SD Write/Read
It's a class 2, do I need to purchase a better sd card?

thats very fast read and write for a class 2 or infact any class micro sd card.
for me atto is a big pile of balls though as the test settings aren't clearly explained and have a big effect on the results.
try the cf_bench program mantis suggested earlier as it used preset settings which i think are more relevant to performance in a ds anyway.

mantis41 - is that the newer class 6 or the older class 6 samsung? think new is labelled extreme speed or something so i assume plus is the slower.
your card seems pretty fast, about 10-20% slower than 4gb adata class 6 which ive never had a problem with.

if anyone else has cf_bench results or higher capacity (8gb+) cards would be interested, would be nice to start a thread with proper collection of info
usually its just random small reports like here

your card seems pretty fast, about 10-20% slower than 4gb adata class 6 which ive never had a problem with.

It is the older samsung plus class 6 (grey colour). It preforms ok with HD Tach but realy kicks butt when tested with the lib fat tester from the acekard.

I don't like HD-tach or any PC based benchmarks, there are too many variables that can effect the results.

Average Read - 14.8MB/s

Loading, White Flash, 2 Black Screens, on both normal and AAP mode.

Transcend - Class 6

Random Access - 0.7ms
Average Read - 16.4MB/s

Doesn't work on normal, works fine on AAP Mode.

Not sure how brand makes a difference, but it seems it must :/
Oh same PC and same Card Reader if it helps.

saw your libfat results, bit slower than my card but larger capacity. wonder how the extreme one performs as only a quid difference or so on amazon last time i looked.

Kingston 4GB SDHC (Taiwan)
- 1.48ms Random Access
- Black screens on 999 / Golden Sun / Sonic Colors

Sandisk Premier 2GB (Taiwan)
- 0.72ms Random Access
- All games boot fine

So yup, it's all depending on the mSD's random access speeds. It's a shame I can't have these games on the bigger card... I'll either buy a fast 4GB one, or wait to see what v1.8.2 brings :3

Argh, the game froze on me for the first time in 3 hours, and now I developed the annoying tendency to save the game every 2 minutes.

I can't wait for an actual fix for this game, I don't really trust the AAP thing.

Cheat Code Usage-Enabled
Autorun-Disabled

And dont forget to got to the rom properties of the game and put AAP on here as well and it should work! Merry Christmas!

Ill give feedback on freezes tomorrow because i cant test it now. later guys! Also you can pm me if you have any questions. just no flaming. im just trying to help everyone play as well because i spent hours trying to get it to work myself. hopes it works for you guys without flaw!

And if it doesnt work after using my method just wait for the new AKAIO instead of complaining that it hasnt been released yet, because if i was the developer i wouldnt want to release it any sooner if people were bad mouthing me so lets show some appreciation for what we do have. No actually im not. at least not the way you think. I made no changes whatsoever to the AKAIO Firmware to get this to play, i just changed the settings.
