I need some help! I was modding my fiancé’s old GBA SP and it wasn’t charging properly. The port was loose. So I figured I’d replace it since I had the part. It was pretty stuck and I ended up removing the pads on the charger port on accident. Is there any way I can fix this? The gba still works with a battery in. It would be unfortunate if I can’t charge it normally though. Does anyone know where each of the 6 pins can be rewired to? I ordered a USB C charging mod for it as well. That only has 1 solder point besides the anchors. Where would I solder that to without a pad? I feel it’s possible to fix this mistake but I’ve searched endlessly and feel like I’m the only one that messed up this bad with the pads. I also messed up ROUT’s pad but oh well on that. I just want to be able to charge again. Does anyone know specifically which pins need to be wired to charge?

Looks like you have quite a few vias (the little golden hole things) there still intact, possibly with anything else in the path also attached (nice, many times pad lifting also means a bunch of trace goes with it). They might even take solder pretty well and spare you scraping traces.

I would also make sure you have a look at EM8 while you are in there

That is usually the charging issue over loose connector but loose connector is still an option, and prime candidate for some damage.

Can you believe I've never played any Half Life game, or the Orange box. Been meaning to, I own it, just haven't played it yet.

Played a little Portal way back, but didn't care for it. Should give it another go.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Oh god, Portal. I got stuck in the middle of making a portal on a wall, and trying not die in the pit. Can't remember what level it was, but this was a decade ago. It just feels too difficult.

First few levels you know what you're supposed to do, but afterwards, they don't tell you otherwise, you have to memorize everything.

They should've continued making Rabbids games before they fall off the earth. If Nintendo has Super Mario, then Rabbids should be their mascot for all their games. Make a lot of money.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Skelletonike, Valhalla was pretty good, slow at first but gets better as goes. Not quite as good as Origins or Odyssey tho, imo

The game has so many options, many pointless, but no option to change the audio settings? I like when I can put the sound to work better with a soundbar or stereo equipment, I think previous games had it? Weird

I really like origins for the world itself.
