Hey everyone,

I am having a problem with my console. This original unmodded GBA SP of mine used to work perfectly.

I tried using an old adapter that allows audio output via an aux cable, and it worked fine.

I closed the console, disconnected the adapter and put it away. The next day, when I turned on the gba, I noticed that there was no sound coming out of the speaker.

Interestingly, when I plug the adapter back in, the audio through the cable works just fine, as does the volume slider in that mode.

The moment I remove the adapter, there is just silence. Nothing comes out of the speaker, regardless of the position of the volume slider.

What I tried:

-Cleaned the GBA port thoroughly with isopropanol (99%) alcohol.

-Removed the speaker to bend the contacts up a bit.

I would appreciate any insight to solve my problem.
