That's really nice... but even with 3.4, newer eshop games like Samurai_Defender_USA_eShop_3DS-PUSSYCAT won't launch on my US O3DS with latest EmuNand.
@Bonny You seem to have a very strange fixation on this game Samurai Defenders, I don't know what you're doing but clearly you're doing it very wrong.

Has the CN cart been.used.for.different exploits in the past? I.e NTR cfw, region four, ninjhax, if so the save ship may not have enough room left for the.payload to be stored, the save wipe feature in game doesn't actually wipe any of the exploit payloads, if that's the case you will have to figure out a way to properly wipe the.save chip clean, one way is running Gw diagnostics with the CN cart in the 3ds, this will properly wipe the save

Hah oh I missed that XD

in the past I have installed Ninjhax 2.0... then not enough L + R + X + Y to delete the previous exploit?

The reason gateway is not working for you is because, your sysnand version is 9.4 and, gateway only supports 9.2 and below.

So this update was about :
1)defeating new anti-piracy schemes?
2)9.5+ keys for us new 3ds users?

Okay so aren't those keys what's needed to enable 9.9 emunand on n3ds? (or those new gw3.4 keys are standard ds 9.5+ keys, not those special n3ds keys?)

Kinda sucks gw didn't take the time for gba support/screenshots though at least cheats are coming, should boost non jp cheat support. (got CN/Pasta and NTR3.0 so it's fine, I guess)

They should come up with something really new and exclusive like amiibo dumping/emultion via fw. (sound difficult, but it's just a random thought)

"5 minutes to break" - in actuality the games were dumped about 12 months ago and gateway updates are slow.
And the confirmation of a feature in the ps. Normally they would say "new things!!11"

I still dont understand.

I can confirm that 3D Sonic The Hedgehog 2 CIA still doesn't work on 3.4.

They probably fixed the carts, but not the eShop Cryptofixing. Stupid really, as it's being done on a certain site that like Voldemort shall not be mentioned, but Gateway can't patch that in?

I'm glad they fixed the ROMS, but with most content in North America being eShop only(like Samurai Chronicles 3 which has YET to be dumped), this is a huge gaping hole. THAT needs to be fixed before they add cheats...

Gateway better go work on DLC support for their flashcart. I didnt bought gateway to play games with DLC as cia that doesn't need gateway at all.

EDIT: playing paid dlc for free, just like the games
Just to let you know... You can install the .cia versions of the DLC (or from the eshop) and you'll be able to play the .3ds/z version of the game. DLCs are installed to the system even for legit users.

Is zippyshare blocking this for anyone else?
Does anyone have a mirror for the files? Anything from zippyshare gets auto-blocked because it's convinced it only hosts virus-laden downloads.

Nothing, don't use Chrome, google is known for wanting to control every facet of your life including what you download and what sites you visit.
I don't use anything google related, even switched my search engine to Bing, its odd that MS is actually better than Google when it comes to user freedom nowadays.

Funny, I'm downloading from ZippyShare through Chrome and no issues/warnings at all..... I also agree that Bing is becoming the stronger search engine in my opinion as well.

Yeah, so, DLC does work for .3ds and .cia files.... DLC is only IN CIA format. It doesn't install to cart. Do your research dude.

Wow... The Gateway guys managed to bypass the new anti-piracy measures in 5 minutes, and the Sky3DS cannot be patched at all?
I kinda feel bad for the guys who got the Sky3DS... but they did know something like this would come sooner or later : /
I bet Sky3DS' "update" will come through a new flashcart. These guys have been shady since the very beginning.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
