He said 9.0 not 9.1 and I'm well aware of that thread since I've actually submitted an entry myself. Never heard of a JP N3DS with 9.0 preloaded.

my point is,

there are many ways to void "got stolen" argument, as there are many ways to detect, even our location probably they knwo, the same ways google know our location even without gps, as long we wifi enabled... (map by wifi ssid, and correlate to other device which already have location info and detect that same ssid, no need to connect just within range)

of course this is just a speculation, wether out 3ds is doing that or not, but if yes.. then they have our data....

Doesn't matter if they can void the argument, by some mad stretch of the imagination, where the 3ds reaches out to other devices on the network and spys on them.

It's not down to me to prove it wasn't me, it's up to them to prove it was.

All I have on my 3ds is an nnid and email. No links to club Nintendo. Even in your crazy world, all it would prove is it was used at this location constantly. Not who was using it.

But before it would even get there, they would need a court order to get my isp to release who the ip address was leased to at the time Nintendo says.

Then on top of that, it's generally a civil offense in the UK anyway, unless on large scale. So meh.


But you keep flying the anti-piracy flag if it makes you happy.

Region-Free is HUGE. Buying and playing games from NA & JPN as well as the usual EUR on the same system is just easy.
Do I need to carry around three fricken consoles? One for my EUR games, one for Shantae and one for all the awesome weeb junk? Sheesh

I understand what you mean and I don't like when people buy a 3DS and a Gateway to get everything free though it is a good idea financially. But in my case I already own like 20 3DS games and even recently bought 2 copies of Smash 3DS and me and my brother are both getting physical copies of Pokemon ORAS for Christmas even though we could just download it free. I am really excited for Gateway because I can finally play some smaller games that I didn't want to dish out $40 for since I'm broke af. Also I get to play Maplestory 3DS which we pretty much all know will never be localized, so that's pretty sweet.

You know people can know more than one language right? Anyways, Maplestory's gameplay is simple and doesn't require you to read to really know what's going on.
