you should boot into the home-brew channel from Bootmii or priiloader and reinstall the home menu, worked for me.

Was Metroid M from a different region than your Wii?
That is, NTSC-U game in a PAL console, or PAL game in a NTSC-U console?

Also, since you have access to BootMii you should be able to restore from your NAND Backup... assuming you ever did one.

ok but some may think it's wifi brick
That should be fairly easy to diagnose.
"Nothing happens, black screen, BUT Wii can be turned on with a Wiimote/Recovery Mode can be accessed. See Wi-Fi brick."

Try both of those things, wi-fi brick can be ruled out only if the Wii does not power on with a Wiimote AND Recovery Mode doesn't boot. Recovery Mode will require a GC controller (and GC ports), if either of them succeed then likely it is a wifi brick.
Possibly the wifi/BT module just needs to be reseated and not replaced but in any case they are not expensive.

Either BT or Wifi are broken, yeah. If the Disk drive was broken (not just the laser, but the whole drive) or disconnected from the main board, It would show an ''An error has occurred'' screen when launching an official game. A broken BT and Wifi module just shows a black screen when booting the System Menu.

since bootmii menu shows up and priiloader it's probably 100% broken wifi module despite there's no physical damage

My phone's default alarm sound is very very soft piano music over calming nature sounds. Whenever I set some custom alarm time I have to remember to change the tone because I sleep right through the default one.
