I have a couple of old3ds, the one i'm trying to do is on 4.4 (I have used it for gateway in the past). First I need to update to 9.2 following the tutorial but when ever i click on the browser icon on my sysnand it says I need to update my system version and I cant go any further to start decrypt9 through the url. Can anybody help me out please?

It seems you have one without browser. What you can do is use MSET exploit to access Rxtools and emunand9 in order to update to 9.2. But you need to have a flashcart with you in order to do this.

Hi everyone! Thank you for making this great guide and the time and energy you people put into this community. I have followed the guide of Plailect and the first 2, almost 3 parts went well. But now i'm a bit stuck at Part 3,

28. Update your RedNAND to the latest version using system settings (Once you exit System Settings / SD Card Management you will be returned to SysNAND, make sure to enter back into RedNAND before updating!)


I updated my system after i checked that "Emu" was in front of the version number. When the update was finished it became Ver. 11.0.0.0-33E, without "Emu" in front of this new version. I can't load into homebrew anymore. Is this normal and can i proceed to part 4 of this guide, or did i screw up somehow? I'm a bit confused and not sure anymore now and thinking it was maybe best not to update at all at this point. I hope you can help me to understand this better and helping me in finding a solution.

A question regarding payloads for Luma3DS, i.e. being able to hold START and then power on to launch Decrypt9WIP:

Can this be made to launch a) Homebrew Launcher and b) a DS flash cart from cold boot? I've tried several variations of a) and it either just boots to the home menu or doesn't boot at all. I mean, I can do both from the home menu but it would be nice to have the option.

I'm at the last step of Part 5 Section I. I don't have enough space on my sd card to put emuNAND_original.bin, I'm 436 mb short. Is there anything from previous steps that I can delete to make room? In a previous part, it was said that I could remove sysNAND_original.bin. Can I still do that now to make room? Or can I transfer everything to a bigger sd cart before continuing to Section II? Everything has worked out perfectly for me so far, so I'm kind of frustrated.

Yes, you can remove sysNAND_original.bin from your SD . Just make sure you have it backed up on your PC

I am following this tutorial.
Now I am in Part4 Section2 Step10.
I failed 5 times already during downgrading process and it related to NFIRM.
Any suggestions?

Try to downgrade to 2.1 --> failed
Try to downgrade to 9.2 --> failed

FYI:
-I follow from the beginning of tutorial.
-Old3DS regular machine.
- EMU v.11.xx
- SYS v9.2

So I have decided to a9lh finally but my original 9.2 downgrade isn't complete and the cia files are not in the update 9.2 package.
I am on 9.2 except these titles:

I'm affraid so. Luckily i can get my hands on the just released freakyhax exploit, by using freakyforms deluxe so i'll be able to access homebrew in 11.0.0.33E again soon. I just don't know which steps to take next. Any suggestions/advice are very welcome

I just successfully completed the hack. I did it mainly to shorten boot time compared to using menuhax to coldboot rxtools. Instead of trying to use my old emuNAND I decided to start fresh so I could more easily follow the instructions (plus I had a lot of cias installed I simply didn't use anyway). I used FreakyHax the entire time when booting HBL from sysNAND, and only froze on yellow twice in the entire process.

I'm affraid so. Luckily i can get my hands on the just released freakyhax exploit, by using freakyforms deluxe so i'll be able to access homebrew in 11.0.0.33E again soon. I just don't know which steps to take next. Any suggestions/advice are very welcome

For now your only option is to use FreakyHax and not have kernel access. There is no way to downgrade 11.0 currently without a hardmod.

Hi,
I finally succeed in installing a9lh+luma3ds.
Now, I want to convert 3ds image into cia.
I see one tutorial use rxtools,which I do not have.
I finally found this tutorial which use Decrypt9WIP.
But, when I run Decrypt9WIP on HBL, I have red screen and got kicked out into HBL again.

Any suggestion? or maybe do you have any tutorial which I can follow?

For now your only option is to use FreakyHax and not have kernel access. There is no way to downgrade 11.0 currently without a hardmod.

It is what it is... I hope there will be an easier way to downgrade 11.0 in near future. But from what i've been reading here and there, it can take a long time, and it's not sure if it even will become possible at all.
