Hey guys!

Been trying to getthe homebrew Colors! to work on my phat NDS using the EZ-Flash IV - everything looks fine when I enter the Gameboy Adv mode - the startup is fine, the Nintendo logo is visible - it takes me to the EZ-Flash home screen (skin etc) - I start up Colors!.gba but as the Gameboy intro begins - the Nintendo logo below is blurry/fuzzy and after the sound of the intro finishes - it freezes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

smrr

P.s. sorry if my post is incomprehensible, it's 2:15AM, I've been trying to fix my issue for hours now. Also, I'm a newbie to Flash carts etc.

P.p.s. apologies if I posted this in the wrong section.

...isn't Colors! a DS homebrew app? It should be ran in DS Mode, hence one would expect a different extension (.ds.gba?) - otherwise the file will be booted in GBA Mode and it will confuse the system. Try that. Naturally you'll also need some kind of a PASSME device - this is why it's highly recommended that you just get a SLOT-1 device that doesn't require a SLOT-2 cart. Seeing that you have a DS Classic, all you really need is an R4, preferably R4iGold from R4iDS.cn (due to WOOD compatibility) or an Acekard 2i (unless you plan switching to the DSi or 3DS anytime soon). ;)

Thanks a lot for your reply!

Hmm I assume a PASSME device is not downloadable? If that's the case I guess I might as well look into getting the R4iGold.

Damn I should have realised Colors! is a DS specific homebrew app :c
So my EZ-Flash IV will only hold (mostly) anything below NDS games right (GBA/GBC etc)?

And lol I love my phat too much to upgrade, but once it clunks out (hopefully not anytime soon!) I'll most likely be looking into a DSi XL :)

Edit: I found this: http://www.r4wood.com/products/Wood-R4-DS-Revolution-for-Nintendo-DS-{47}-DSL.html - would this be a more viable option if I'm only wanting to get that one DS homebrew app?
