Is it possible? Yes
Will somebody actually create some tool like this? Most likely not - Just use SYS-FTPD if you're that desperate
Sys-FTPD isn't going to help at all for what was asked.

Edit: Side note, you could always pull the already installed content (registered folder) off your SD Card using PC (faster than FTP), install the game to fill the remaining space, delete the nsp from sd, put old registered folder back on. Bam - full sd card.

Use a different tool to send the cia. Either way, it works, and your internet speed itself doesn't affect it. It's LAN, not WAN.

If you'd like to get it working can go to PM though, we're heading off topic.
it doesnt really matter its much slower anyway when I could easily just use an sd card on my computer

200gb is kind-of a lot. I feel 128 is a nice comfortable amount of space. Has space for games and emunand.

Some game size examples:
Breath of the Wild and Skyrim are roughly 15GB
Octopath Traveler and Kirby Star Allies is roughly 3GB
Stardew Valley is roughly 880MB

I quickly regretted only getting 128GB. Could only fit around 11 backups. Took me about a week to say screw it and buy a 256GB samsung evo select.

That's just me though.

I think it's more likely someone will come up with a way of installing NSPs from a USB storage device. Although I'm open to having as many choices as possible.
True that. The Switch's wifi isn't too bad though, at least over 5Ghz. Much more acceptable than the 3DS and Wii U even with size taken into consideration.

USB Storage at all would be ideal though. I have many hard drives worth connecting and no SATA ports to place them in.

Installing from a USB drive sounds great to me. I wouldn't want to run games from USB because I mostly play handheld, but installing from nsp on a flash drive to the internal SD is an option that definitely appeals.

Seriously, nobody has a tutorial on how to install NPS on Tinfoil via FTP?
It's really really easy. You just need to find out the IP of your Switch in your local network.
Then take the NSP, give it a short name and place it in a folder with this python script (have Python installed obviously).
On your Switch launch tinfoil -> install NSP -> network install
On your PC -> CMD -> cd in the folder with the NSP -> run the python script -> enter Switch IP -> enter NSP name -> hit Enter (don't need to put in your PC IP) and it should start
Don't mind the errors and other messages as long as the installation on your Switch's screen keeps progressing.
When you're done, you have to completely exit Tinfoil (I'd even recommend to leave hbmenu and return to the homescreen for 1 - 2 seconds) then start Tinfoil again if you wish to install another NSP and start over. I experienced that installing another NSP from within Tinfoil right after the first one without exiting it, does not work.
Also a last small hint: Give your NSP a very short spaceless name like mario.nsp and marioupd to be 100 % sure.

I think install from USB were better methode.
In docked mode or with USB C cable.
Is there already support for installation / upload via USB?

I have a 400GB SD... Admittedly not necessary... I just wanted to future proof myself and yes I installed every single game I wanted to try it out and it basically maxed it... Will I keep the majority of them?? Likely not so I'd say go smaller if you only replay a small handful of games.
